  1. On his contract length, on his contract amount, on the fact he had been AA and finished highly in the Bluey. Cannot say the same for Leuie. Yes, I agree the AFL make the call, often to suit the club in question, but if Leuie gets band 1, so should have Silvia. It's simply ridiculous.
  2. Great news. Well done Max and the Club.
  3. Money. And the filth will rise quicker than many other teams.
  4. I agree with your point of him being too old for us to consider now, but he clearly should have been retained in 2012. With all due respect, the rest of what you say is made up. He's been very consistent for the last 2 seasons, close to AA, averaging about 20 disp and 6 marks from 28 games.
  5. Yes, but he's now close to AA ruckman, as he was last year. Showed considerable promise when Jamar went down for half a season and he rucked solo. The Russian was the ruck we should have got rid of, he had trade value back then. Stef just an average footballer? No. Managed very poorly by the MFC? Definetly.
  6. Really? Because last year coming straight back in against Adelaide he kicked 3 and was close to BOG
  7. You know what they say..... the only bad thing about Queensland is that it's full of Queenslanders.
  8. Not a snow flake's chance Stef would come back to the Dees. He left for personal reasons, he won't come back for personal reasons.
  9. No one want to be at the Lions. Leuie leaving, Aish leaving, now Stef Martin wants out. They'll need the extra pick just to make up the numbers
  10. Ask around about how Mitch and Stef got along when they were team mates and why. That's as much info as needs be said here. Oh, and Stef would not come back to the Dees in a million years.
  11. Stef Martin to ask for a trade back to a Melb based club according to D Barrett. How dumb are we. Could have had Max and Stef killing them in the ruck. Thanks Mitch Clark.
  12. They may decide to have several logos, eg. one for match day, one for corporate events, one for stationary, one for kids, etc. plenty of clubs have this. Geelong have several, so do Sydney. Having said that, the one in the op looks half baked.
  13. No more veterans looking for a super top up.
  14. Chart was shown on Talking Footy tonight
  15. Agree. The illicit drug line sounds massaged to me. Makes the penalty easier to accept for the players, the club and the AFL. Hard to tell what the truth is, except that two young fringe players took a performance enhancing drug.
  16. Great effort mate. Kind of depends on the definition of A grader. I differ in opinion though, think we have zero A graders. NJones, Vince and Hogan are currently close. Hogan will be A grader by this time next year, assuming good health. I just can't see any of our guys as good as the best 2 or 3 from nearly every club higher than us. However, the projection of some of our young guys is likely to see them as A graders within 2-3 years, eg. Gawn, Brayshaw, Viney, Tyson and Hogan. TMac's disposal is well short of elite, but he will be very serviceable over the years. Nev Jetta will be Mr Reliable. It will be interesting to watch the progress of players such as Watts, Salem, Vanders, Kent, Stretch and ANB as they definitely have the potential to become very, very good. Petracca will also be great to watch next year.
  17. Ease up. Abusing the abusers makes you somehow right???
  18. I thought Fitzy would have been useful yesterday, albeit he was unavailable with flu.
  19. Agree. Improve our stock of mids and they'll supply to the forwards better. I think Hogan will soon boot 10 and Dawes will hold on to more marks if they get better delivery
  20. He did pretty well yesterday and we lost. However, that's the level he should be playing at every week. His job is mainly to take marks, kick goals and protect/assist Hogan.
