Probably wishful thinking. But that being the case, they'd surely be better going for a pick swap live on trade night. If McCrae goes earlier in the draft than anticipated, they might be better off keeping the two (?) picks for players Taylor likes in the 20's. They'd have a plan B for sure. Or perhaps the rule is no pick swaps to avoid academy bids on draft night??? I don't know
