  1. I think so far GWS have won that trade handsomely. Kelly is now an A grader, the A grader we desperately need IMO. Tyson's disposal is sloppy and I think his decision making is slow and can sometimes let him down. I don't believe he'll ever come close to an A grader. Salem looks very classy with excellent disposal and good football brain. His marking has improved this year as well. If their bodies hold up they will both be very handy players, but I think Kelly is not far off being an out and out star. I'd certainly be very happy to be proven wrong though.
  2. Ah yes, a sucker born every day!
  3. Dumb as a box of hammers. Got his leg up for a flag, Chip will struggle now he's aging and their list is shot. No thanks.
  4. Sans skin? What's the local custom Biffen?
  5. Clark Lumumba GAJ???
  6. 29 touches at VFL? It's Pedo time!!!
  7. Yep, that alone should ring loud alarm bells in the govt authorities that control the requirements and licensing of both firearms and security firms. How can a guy dressed in comando gear stroll unchecked around Bourke St mall days after the tragedy carrying a semi automatic handgun without a gun licence but employed by a security firm? Wonder if anything will/has changed after this clown attracted media coverage
  8. Saw that and spat out my drink at his stupidity. Find it hilarious that these 'professionals' make such definitive statements with no basic research of the facts. Pity he's not paid on par to reporting accuracy.
  9. Hawks 0-4 makes my day somehow feel rosier. Like the first warmth of spring.
  10. Jack Watts is a forward pinch hitting in ruck. Please Goody, do not play him back.
  11. Mate, it was a goal. Could clearly see it graze the end of his boot. Let it go.
  12. The Salvador Dali look is my choice. Extra wax on the tips for match day.
  13. Works for me if I read your posts with a Sam Kekovich voice. You know it makes sense.
  14. Maybe, but in the picture they had a man forward of the contest as well. 5:3 was the main error.
  15. Anyone have any info on how Hibberd and Pedo are tracking form and fitness wise? If they're struggling at Casey do we really want to bring them in to the seniors? Beginning to think it will be Hogan for Weid and maybe Brayshaw for Hannah or ANB
  16. Chain him onto Dusty on Monday. Lock him down. If Dusty and Cotch are quiet, we have a very good chance of winning
  17. Good comments from Roos, AF. I heard a commentator (Healy?) mention that Lyon has been big on a manic attack on the ball and the ball carrier. Pressure. The 3rd qtr showed that. We panicked and made poor decisions, even when under little pressure.
  18. Drop a quarter to the Tiges like we did to Freo and they'll tear us a new one. Richmond have added experience and quality to their midfield this year. We need to be manic at the ball and shut down Dusty and Cotch.
  19. Clubs like Haw Syd and Geelong have won tight games regularly over the last 5+ years. Leadership goes a long way towards dragging a side over the line for a win in tight games. Guys like Mitchell, Hodge, Selwood, Bartel, Kennedy and McVeigh are/were very good players but also great leaders. I'm not a fan of military terminologies in sport, but they're generals. Jones has some leadership quality and I love him as a Melbourne player, but I'd hardly rely on him or our other leaders to drive us to victory in a tight match like yesterday. You can always find results to prove any hypotheses. However, when a very close game is there to be won, I'd much prefer to have good leaders with composure who are also good players than just good players
  20. Watch the reply. He grazed the ball with his foot. It was a goal. Vince or someone should be been out the back. Never, never leave the back unprotected when the ball is flying in. Should've been 2-3 guys spare with us up and only a minute or so left. But instead they all went for the marking contest with only Vince left strolling along the side.
  21. 'Best player' does not equate leadership. Our leaders couldn't pull us over the line like Fyfe, Sandi, Neale etc did for them. Our leaders lack composure.
  22. He competes well for contested, pack marks, bringing the ball to ground for the crumbers, but yes, often gets caught where the ball isn't. Looks lost. With increased games at Casey and a few in the seniors when his Casey forum is good, I think he will refine his leading patterns and timing. Let's not forget that our delivery inside 50 is often shizen. I have hope he'll mature in body and game, but it appears he may have a stint at Casey ahead of him.
  23. Really sick of the continual vacuum of experienced, quality leaders. It's been groundhog day, 10 years since we've had one, maybe longer. That and a couple of A grade mids in the team at the same time.
  24. Composure is certainly not one of our strengths We still lack leadership and an A grade mid who will grab the game by the scruff
