Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Moonshadow replied to stevethemanjordan's topic in Melbourne Demons
This ^^ Midfield wins games IMO. We have lots of youth and potential in our midfield but I'd prefer to trade for another experienced A grade mid than a key back. Having said that, I would not be unhappy to see Lever at the Dees. 'Lever to Demons' sounds like a sitcom. -

I like Lever a lot, but agree with those saying we need an established A grade mid to support our young ones. Control the ball better in the midfield and our back line will hold its own. -

What can we use as leverage? -
Highly unlikely to get one where he is now
-
And he should throw it back at them. I can see the AFL offering him a blank cheque to take on the Suns. It's only about a 7 hr flight to Honolulu from there.
-
Slight aside, but GWS Josh Kelly apparently has a 9 year $9mill deal on the table from Norf.
-
Inconsistant penalties and rulings by the AFL are the norm now. Dumb actions both Hogan and Lewis nevertheless. Was pleased to see Watts and Hunt fly the flag in the melee after Lewis' hit

Too much information, way too much....

I'm more of a Brunswick-type craft beer man. They don't sell by the goon bag.
-
You'll be hit the hardest Uncle Bitter as the tax is based upon volume, which means your goon bags might double in price to as much as $8. Might even have to drink using a glass vessel rather than the usual 'layback' technique. Culture with a capital K.

I read somewhere that they have extra footage from other cameras that the networks do not show. If so, why don't they release it?

Omac and Tmac alternated on Roo last week who kicked 4. I like that Omac is improving and developing at a decent rate, but let's not forget he turns over consistently and often is isolated as the weakest link, as Goodwin insinuated last week. Short term pain for longer term gain. I'd certainly keep playing him as I see his positive development.

Got any stats or substance to back that up picket, or just your usual OTT bs? Seems to me Clint has a good point. They are a different type of players, but both have average outputs
-
Crapp thread. Throwing out haymakers left, right and centre. Even to guys who didn't play today. Poor form. 2-0. Long time since we've done that. Perspective.

Being 2-0 up and Hawthorn being 0-2 would be bliss

Yes. Another nasty knock yesterday. Surely can't do his long term health any good -
Big win expected, this is the New Melbourne
