  1. On what I've seen of him this year, Watts would be my outsider for B&F this year. I'm quietly confident on top 5.
  2. I must've been watching a different game because I thought he was good. Nothing special and I think he made a couple of errors but one on one he beat most of his opponents.
  3. Winning games, duh! But as DT said above we have to make sure every team that beats us has to work their asses off to do it, no blow outs.
  4. Yeah $20 for admission for NAB cup is a rip off, if all that money or say 50% was going to the clubs or straight to grassroots footy I'd be OK with it I'd be very surprised if it's not going straight into the AFL coffers. On a different note does anyone know how often the shuttle buses will be going from Cranny station?
  5. We didn't offload him, he ditched us. Could end up being one of the best things that ever happens to us, not that that'll stop me getting stuck into him when he comes to the G!
  6. D-Rod's already justified his pick up! Nobody in a Melbourne top has every gotten close to those moves. Though I do remember Flash pulling out the moonwalk on one of the footy show revue's!
  7. Fantastic news about Trenners and Mitch, both are extremely competitive and must be itching to get out there. IMO both should have a minimum of half a game at Casey just to ease them in before the big lads. Injury list sounds pretty good atm, hopefully we finally get a run of luck with that. I'd kill for the dream run the Kangas had last year.
  8. I've got 4 Dees players this year. Viney (duh), Watts, Grimes, and Howe. Viney is obvious. Watts I really think will have a massive year, saw imagine at the intraclub and watched a bit of NAB round 1 and he looks very confident. Grimes I wasn't going to have in and then I saw he averaged 91 and that was after a slow first half of the year. Injury free he's a ball magnet. Howe's an interesting one. I'll admit I've probably selected him because I enjoy watching him play, but he's also getting a bigger tank and looks like he's been made into a goal scoring mid. We all know Neeld loves him so I'll back him for a good year. I'm trying to decide on a defender around the 350,000 mark, any ideas?
  9. I think I heard that the average was about 130 odd, so I would be looking at about 100 as cap (not that I really think it's needed) and leave the amount of changes per quarter up to the coaches. If they run out without realising it then it's their own fault.Changes per quarter should be left to the coaches, it stands to reason that you'll want more in the 4th quarter compared to the 1st. I tell you what was interesting, KB (who cannot talk about the laws of the game) would not answer Tim Watson's questions. Watto asked very simply, how did the laws of the game come to 20/20/20/20 as the recommended amount? What data lead them to decide on that? Instead of answer it he just talked about how the coaches make comments to suit their own agenda. This was a question I was very interested to get an answer from, just so I knew the process they go through but he came across as being very petty and vindictive. As if the LOTG committee just make rules to one up the coaches. He could not answer why he thought the cap would improve congestion.
  10. I couldn't work out why Neeld tried him as a defensive forward when was doing so well as a mid.
  11. He's done, if he wanted to be a career coach he'd need to get back into being an assistant coach. I actually thought he was a decent coach, just had a zero idea how to use ruckmen. We should never have lost Jolly but his refusal to play him as anything other than a chop out ruck was shocking. Had some great years with him though!
  12. Yeah I saw that after I tweeted to them, no doubt it's just not the same. It's your top and you get attached to the effort gone into getting the signatures. Good on the club for already offering, would make the kid feel cared about. Master you've clearly got to learn what good PR is, if you treat fans (particularly young ones) badly at best they will stick with you. You go the extra mile and they go around talking up the club and encourage others to join them.
  13. Just did that then, not a huge Twitter person but I reckon it could be good PR.
  14. The Gys is the only one of the lot we got rid of that i can see coming back and biting us in the a$$. However is Pedders turns out to be a valuable pick up then it will make no difference to me (as long as he doesn't kill us when we play them!).
  15. If it can't be found I vote the club gives her a brand new one with the entire list signed and throw in a couple of legends like Gary and Ox, and present it to her on the ground round 1.
  16. Agreed, we start playing him when the medical staff is 100% certain he's over his issues.
  17. His kicking was terrible last week, but I am still a big fan of his. It wasn't that long ago that people were saying that Jonesy's disposal was terrible and that he was a liability, now he is our best midfielder and one of a very few that would be a walk up start in just about every team. I'm not saying Jordie will get to that level, but he wins his own ball and has shown great ability in nullifying some of the competitions best players. I think there is a place in the team for a very long time, and the fact he's been added to the leadership group tells me the coaching staff think the same way. With Morton gone I reckon he and Joel Mac will become the club's whipping boys.
  18. Bugger! Poor guy has had a great pre-season and now it's ruined!
  19. Yeah that just came out of the blue, Dunn just seemed be gobsmacked that it happened didn't even retaliate. I would think Vickery might get a reprimand for rough conduct, given it was on the hard surface if Dunn's head had hit on the ground he could've been badly hurt.
  20. Just watched the replay for the kangas game and a bit of the tigers game, and I've decided I'm going to make it a point to try to get down to a few Casey games. He looks a player NOW, the way he out-bodied the Roos player made him look like a veteran. Tough to keep a lid on this bloke.
  21. Yeah I saw that article, I was wondering who to blame for all this and now I know. Nate Jones put your hand up and accept your punishment! (Tongue firmly in cheek!)It is amazing the sliding doors of the world, a fair few things conspired to lead to McLean being on OTC, Jonesy back out, his resurgence and the match winning accidental goal.
  22. That's funny, I thought the point of an investigation was uncover evidence. And you start an investigation if there is an accusation or a belief of having done something wrong. There certainly wasn't any evidence apart from a "feeling" from Brock McLean.
  23. This is very concerning, there were all those weeks last year where he was a late withdrawal due to concussion. As someone said above, with everything that's happened to Belly I gotta wonder at what point does someone say to him it's too much? Who makes that call? Of course I hope he makes a full recovery and is able to have a long a prosperous career, as long as he doesn't have any after effects post-AFL. We've already seen Barts retire early because of a knee problem that will limit him for the rest of his life.
  24. To say I'm over this would be the understatement of the millennium. For about 10hrs I thought it was done, finished, over. But no, now there is a second investigation, one that has potentially a lot more serious repercussions. AFL botched this when they didn't nip this in the bud 7-8 months ago, and now it's reaching boiling point. FFS LEAVE US ALONE!!!!! (Can anyone tell I'm a little frustrated!?)
  25. Honestly think that Cam Schwab has a case for defamination against Caro, she painted him as the mastermind behind a tanking claim that we have been found not guilty in perpetrating. Perhaps it's wishful thinking but god its nice to dream.
