Yeah agree, Gary Lyon was very quick to mention that there young key position players would be wanting more than him on their next contracts.

I think he will be at another club next year. I can’t see us offering him more than a one year deal, while I think another club will offer two maybe three years.

While I think he is a very good player and will be good for Carlton that is crazy money if true. I think he mentioned that GWS’s offer was 700 - 750k per year, they must have a lot of players on minimum wages.

I get what your saying but I was under the impression that all COVID fines are just reductions in the clubs coaching soft cap for next year. Either way I still think the club just needs to get rid of him.

If he has just cost us $50 grand out of our soft cap for next year and gets a one year deal, no words could describe how angry I will be at the club.

Not many game day threads when you can say the AFL would actually want us to win. Given what’s on the line today given that Essendon have hardly won a game for months my MFCSS tells me Stringer, Daniher and Tippa will all have massive games we don’t turn up and lose easily.

Richmond are a very good side but there creeping up my list of most hated clubs quickly. I am so sick of Jack and Tom turning to the umpire complaining they didn’t get a free kick every time they don’t mark it and Hardwick is their coach so that doesn’t help. I really hope they don’t win the flag this year.

Richmonds pressure has been amazing, Geelong have looked a little Melbourne like under the pressure. I would hate to think how we would be going tonight though.

Wouldn’t it be nice if we could somehow draft a player like Kelly with a pick in the twenties. How far off is our list compared to West Coast, they have a heap of good players on the injury list but I still think they would thrash us.

Well I certainly haven’t given Jacks contract much thought until now, I just assumed it would get done. But when you think about it, it’s unusual for a vice captain who is not over thirty to remain unsigned with only two weeks left of the regular season. I am so confused with where we are at as a footy club, I have know idea if I want him to stay or go.

My biggest thing is unless you have an elite midfield like West Coast or GWS ruckman are overrated. Carlton have the same number of wins as us and have some no name ruckman on about $100,000 a year.

Yep you will get smashed for this, I said a similar thing a few years ago when Kelly was out of contract. I would still consider it particularly if we could get Whitfield. I think it could be a win win situation for both clubs but I don’t think it will happen.
