It’s good to see another club have similar issues to us. Brody Grundy signs a seven year close to a mil a year contract last year, if he was out of contract this year it would be about half that. Grundy regularly does nothing in big games, ruckman are so overrated.

Any chance we can get some footage of Eddie.

If this game continues like this the AFL will want byes before every round of the finals.

Pretty uninspiring game so far, hopefully the Saints make a game of it in the second half.

I watched footy classified last night and I thought what they said was pretty accurate. I mean how many reviews do you need to do before you do a full and comprehensive review. It also shouldn’t be that hard to work out the two people that need to be held most accountable are Goodwin and JM. If this review is comprehensive I expect both should be sacked, highly unlikely that will happen though but it should, in my opinion.

Agree totally, Collingwood have some very good players out of contract and are going to struggle to get them all under the salary cap. Either one of Daicos or Mihocek would be very handy, both would be even better.

That was another cracking game of footy. A bonus Eddie wasn’t at the ground so we didn’t have to see his face on tv.

Liam Ryan is a very entertaining player to watch.

It is quite staggering really. Chris Fagan and David Noble have done a bloody good job.

Maybe with some fresh eyes in the coaching staff someone might suggest trying Viney in the forward line. Melksham to the half back line could work, he has the skill and reads the play well. My biggest concern with that would be his work rate, this year he was off the chart lazy in my eyes. Maybe it would force him to work hard, certainly worth considering. Yeah another good small pressure forward would be very handy. The other wing spot is hard if not Merrett for me. Polec has a lot of what we need but I am just not sold on him, Smith has had a super career but has he got enough left in the tank to help us get past the four teams that have played finals yesterday and tonight, I don’t think so sadly. We can dream alright, hopefully some new improved coaches some smart trading and recruiting and we can be playing finals and challenging.

This is a super game of footy, a pity more games aren’t like it.

Like others have mentioned I would be trying Viney in the forward line like Wallis for a portion of a game and I would have Merrett on the wing.

What about Weiderman and a pick to Essendon, we bring in Brown to replace Weid? They are going to need a forward to replace Daniher.

Yeah your more than likely correct. I would still like us to try and convince Zac he wants out and put forward fair trade offers for him. Even if Essendon don’t look at them it might at least put uncertainty around him for all of next year. If I was another club I would be doing the same thing with Oliver.

I really hope the club is trying everything to get him out of Essendon, I think he is a bloody good player and would compliment our other midfielders nicely. It was mentioned on SEN yesterday that he has genuine issues with how Essendon handled his removal from the leadership group. They also mentioned that it was more a watch this space for next year rather than this year because of the contract. But I say let’s try and get him this year.

Well according to Jade’s manager Liam Pickering he just missed out on the Fremantle coaching job. Seems odd that you would say that on radio if it wasn’t the case. Anyway I think Jade will be one of the lucky assistant coaches and find another job.

Yeah could well be the case but surely the list management side of the club have had plenty of time to get it sorted out. Something just doesn’t seem right to me.

Former captain, current vice captain in his prime years of his career, the season has been done for over a week, B and F been and gone and still no announcement. Seems bizarre if he has signed why the club hasn’t announced it yet. Something doesn’t seem right to me, maybe the people making list management and contract decisions have been shown the door or maybe Jack is just weighing up his options.

This is what happens when as a club you consistently miss finals and under achieve, the added bonus of having a coach not up to scratch. If I was Oliver I would be seriously thinking about my future too and if I was another club I would be doing everything possible to get Oliver out of Melbourne.

Ben Brown is a good player and if available for a second round pick hard not to look at it. My fear would be the ball too often comes out of our forward line without any pressure and he is not helping with that and a bit similar to the Weid. But maybe we have to look at trading Weiderman for a midfielder / winger.
