OK just watched the VFL highlights on the MFC page: http://www.melbournefc.com.au/ He features early on and looked pretty good, taking marks out in front ect, nothing super amazing but glad he is getting in amongst it. I have been skeptical on him as he came into the club quite small then got injured i believe. But he showed a bit of run and is a big tall size. Similar to the height not talent at this stage of a Kurt Tippet. 200cm i mean which is dangerous, and looks mobile. Just hope he keeps on improving,

isnt exactly filling me with confidence atm -
It is only Casey reserves but he is far to good for that atm, When he is fit he will be straight into Casey seniors and then will build up form and might even get a game late in the year. I think 2013 will be when we can expect real first team football from Lucas.

I think it was a supposed Hammy which dropped him from top 4 to about 8

Saw that one the big screen, was EPIC, was going ape [censored] at something, I think sellar is there for Neelds structures, he gets to the contest, makes one and nearly marks it. His game is close to being effective-ish. Yes this isnt good enough but he is a big target who brings the ball to ground atleast, and i think thats half his job

I dont want to [censored] a dead horse but i hope that our CHF will be Cook in 1 years time, or so

I love it, we might have found the second KPD that we crave, one that may free up Frawley to be an attacking defensive player and our first reaction is to send them forward? This is as silly as the Frawley to forward line trial imo...... Tom Mac started off poorly like last week, but really came good, yeah Riewoldt could have had 1 or 2 more but he didnt, spoiled a few good ones, nice volley kick at one point and as mentioned has a great tank to play on the Big CHF of the competition. Disposal improved also
-
Had 82% efficiency in round 3, and everyone's disposal efficiency was crap last week.

I understand that you are saying strong organisations let competitors worry about their actions, and this is great. But imo if you are taking what would be radical action forcing us to use pick 3 with a risk of having to lose abetter player at 1, you would be thinking about that for starters. But also that you will be giving the best player to you competitor, if you dont consider this then i guess you would be doing one of the hot topics of the MFC a few weeks ago regarding, research into actions. edit - i think it is something which would be considered, you obviously feel differently, we can disagree on the topic as both a plausible. -

If you know Whitfield is a clear 1, and Viney maybe a 5 the i imagine you would be very aware of how much better a player you will be gifting your closest opposition -

People talking about the integrity of the FS rule really need to think about its whole concept. It is designed to manipulate at the time Zoning regulations, and now drafting regulations. It is not an even process to start with, and the only issue people have is that we may be forced to over spend rather than under spend on the JV situation. In saying this, i agree with some that it is a big risk to offer more than its value if you are GWS or GC, GWS by risking Whitfield and gifting him to GC who also will receive O'meara as a huge boost as it is next year, and become their major competitor, GC will risk a potentially better player and gift them to us, plus the player who would be ranked 3rd.....also a risk if Viney isnt that good...... So what is it worth by giving us a top 5 pick for pick 20? that is the Risk/Reward scenario and one which managers of all descriptions get paid the big bucks to make decisions on....will be interesting. would GWS risk Whitfield and gift GC another number 1.....would be hard to say yes to. Will GC risk similar value towards us, knowing we can take picks 2-3 as 3-4 effectively...... Im liking our position more and more, all of course appart fomr the 6 months between now and then which means we win about 4-5 games......if we are lucky -

He definately drops some marks which i would already assume he had taken control of for sure, what this is may be concern of contact, just as much expecting it and alot of the time it didnt come on the weekend. he seemed free then let it slip. I would love to see him take more contested marks but think it will come. Suggesting he has a fear of the conctact is wrong when you see him jump into scrum situations ect, on the ball

In what way, this year he has been at the bottom of countless packs. You are obviously wanting him to crash packs from the wing?

Dunns defensive pressure was the highest i noticed. He ran from player to player with urgency, arms up, carralying them ect. And he did the defensive job on Murphy who for a has been had about 18 touches and was best on in the first half.....

More so that the AFL as a strong competition that people would want to support cannot work without a salary cap, as only 4-6 clubs could truly compete. Players choosing to play AFL as a profession do so knowing they have a restricted earning capacity. if they are good enough a club will pay them millions, nobody is currently that good though.

Here is the big one guys, Who cares about MCC vs MFC whatever. We had 33K at the game tonight to farewell one of if not out most favoured son of the last 50 years+ It was our home game and i dont really want to guess how many turned up. If we dont find some members then we wont have a club in 20 years time. Truly disappointed
