Friday Night in the Stands - rough?
Jordie_tackles replied to Striker475's topic in Melbourne Demons
It not just the abuse and i feel for you striker thats rubbish behaviour. Glad you are reporting it ect, i didnt have to deal with that even from westcoast fans at suby when i went there, they just enjoyed there win ect nothing untoward I get myself a seat in Redleg so i dont need to hear this shiet opposition fans say, large amounts of biased commentary cant give you team a trick ect its only annoying but not what i sit at the game to listen to for 2 hours you know. havnt been able to use it as mates who are opposition fans want to go to the footy with me but cant wait to just sit in the MFC reserve and relax and enjoy the game. -
Yep was gonna say i thought he was solid, took some good marks in defence also
-
I tend to agree, i think he gets the contested footy, and has limited options with the way the team spreads atm, but has had pretty horrible disposal efficiency and imo that may be one reason he is becoming a tagger atm. Still plays an important role and can fight Jordie for that imo. then again, 2 pre-seasons could be anything.

and 2013/14 and pick 12 this year ect but yeah
-
The connection with the OX i imagine, it also isnt easy to hijack fox or MMM ect for a club membership drive i would imagine. Also if you click on the graph on this link it has some apparent data or surveys on membership numbers, http://www.bigfooty.com/forum/showthread.php?t=911373&page=64 MFC with roughly 180K supporters lowest ahead of GWS and GC, 35K of which are members, roughly 1-5 supporters are members which is very very solid conversion

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - JACK VINEY
Jordie_tackles replied to einstein251's topic in Melbourne Demons
He has been earmarked as the clear number 1 for over 12 months now, same class as Swallow, Coniglio and O'Meara ect From what i read he can play both inside and out, but is more suited as a outside ball user, great endurance and speed ect that you expect form such a highly touted player. thanks to Knightmare on BF, take it or leave it.... -

well aware of the bidding process, was replying to someone who said 1 wouldnt be overs as Viney is that good ect, i am just saying he isnt the outright best player so isnt the 1 even if we could use it on him. -

pick 1 IS potential overs, for sure *unless viney is rated the bets player in which case it isnt right now Whitfield is rated that though and to clarify i think pick 3 is his value, people are only upset because we wont gain the small possibility of getting him at 20 which is massive, wait for it......unders -

it has been mentioned, but your 100% correct -
He has the flexibility, to play as a tall or through the middle, isnt great in the middle but can. This type of player will be good if we have an injury, but yeah i wouldnt make Dunn my sub either.

I just dont see much of a difference whether it is good for Judd or not between getting paid overs to work for VISY or being given lucrative business options from wealthy connected supporters. I understand he has to invest his money somewhere and it is hard to determine what is open and what is through connections, but a lucrative business option could work out to be a more enticing perk than a players actual salary in the long run, and factor in staying or going to a club.
-
I thought that financially beneficial opportunities you gain as a football player for a club *that you would not otherwise get* need to be included in the cap.
-
Doesnt matter if they are a director or a supporter, it is an opportunity he only receives due to his footballing abilities, and club he plays for.
-
How is a director setting him up in a lucrative business when he obviously wouldnt do it if Judd played for Essendon ect It is like players who got in trouble for being gifted cheap land and homes in the early 2000's i think The issue comes in where a player wouldnt recieve such opportunities if they didnt play for a particular club, it could be any supporter but it is a director..... I think it stinks

Patrick Dangerfield ... Let's get him!
Jordie_tackles replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
Yep, Hangon came out last year prior to the draft, the DR is loving all the trade talks, People got very sick of Hangon very quickly, this seems to be another habbit they share -
pretty sure it was a big rumour
-
I know, maybe not Coleman but the guy was honestly averaging 3 goals a game until his injury match....... best in the comp was only on 10 or 11 and people want to move him to the ruck? Who will be our KPF? Fitz? Sellar? seriously
-
as Rpfc said though picks 2- 23 and a decent young kid from GC?
-
I dont know if the bolded is asking to much on our behalf? I would say that to GWS for the 2nd 17yo which is well unders OUR sweetener is getting viney for a second rounder when he is a top 5 pick or if you want to look at it this way the 1st 17yo pick for our second rounder which is super cheap..... much in the same pick 3odd and 22 for 17yo and Viney i would say GC give up a worse player as those guys would be relatively untouchable at this stage
-
Amazing that talls do actually take time haha, i definitely thought Hawkins wasnt as good as hyped, showed quite alot late last year, lets hope one of Watts Cook or Sheehan ect can come good within 2-3 years I wonder if this buys any of our forwards a break on demonland...... nah dont be silly

How did you go about getting tickets? i work till 2 at this stage (in Geeling) but talking to mates they said it is really hard to get tickets, even paid members get charged to reserve a seat.......wow I think GA would be standing room if much of it is even still there due to the stands? -
how good are they?
-
or Cook we needs mids, with leadership skills

I think the issue is that at this stage the three to players look like being Whitfield, Stringer (not due to recent hype), and Daniher with Viney close on in this group. So if we use pick 3 we may lose out on a better player, or be guaranteed a great one? When we seem to have had a few better options in the past with top picks we are very skeptical as to value atm edit - even with pick 2 we cant have Daniher so will get value we just want better value
