  1. I predict a gritty first half, followed by us kicking away in the 3rd and last quarters. Dees by 50
  2. BBB might not crash packs but his palm off game is more effective than a blind contest. I'm quite certain he's our best FF option, but perhaps like 2021 he's being asked to work on things in the vfl. When he comes into the afl team he'll be fresh and ready imo.
  3. #FreeRoo was ahead of its time in 2022 😛
  4. How many of them will see a stretcher go out onto the field. AFL is all about optics
  5. I'm in the minority here. It's a terrible decision but it seemed obvious to me that this would be the outcome so im not shocked. As soon as a stretcher was pulled out this was destined to be the result, regardless of the actual action or injury. Who knows how they will adjudicate the 20 odd similar incidents each round ongoing. I dont think Roo being out for 2 weeks (with one of them being the a Hawthorn game) hurts is that badly tbh.
  6. Revolving door in the F50 will continue for another couple of weeks then
  7. Does he have a long enough dump kick though? I feel like people are very quick to turn on Hunter. Hs having a good season, with aspects of his game to work on like the majority of the 22.
  8. Yeah and/or he's mates with Stewy Dew and wants to see him go well
  9. Dunstal loves the Suns (or they're paying him). Regularly talks them up and tries to keep them relevent on foxy footy when no one gives a [censored] about them. I wouldn't worry about the commentary.
  10. Nothing in it but the MRP is a circus so he'll get 2 weeks
  11. We're wired up differently. After a decade or longer of being a weak team I enjoy every MFC win that I get to watch. I'd love to see another flag but I don't let myself get stressed about our form and whether we're the best team on the comp in round 8.
  12. I agree and I think that's why it's been musical chairs in those positions this season. I think BBB and JVR will be the best combo. Petty goes down back.
  13. Dont think we'll take the Hawks lightly but we may look to give a few a freshen up. Almost certain JVR will get rubber out. Just watch the MRP look at the outcome and not the action BBB needs to come in regardless. Was in great form before the mystery back injury
  14. Some people will never be happy. We're top of the ladder with a 6-2 record. I prefer the look of this year than last tbh. Were having a look into the squad depth and still getting the wins on the board. Winning ugly is fine by me
  15. Good to get 4 points out of that. Sun's were very good I thought. Onwards and upwards
  16. Great podcast @Demonland. Some very honest and interesting answers from Mr May too.
  17. Respect your right to your own opinions, but I can't see how this can be called tokenism (imo)
  18. Shouldn't be news. I'd expect this to continue forever now, with more and more teams jumping on the bandwagon no doubt
  19. Islanders or Devils. Both NHL teams haha. I'm totally on board with Tassie joining and potentially a 20th side BUT would hate to see a conference system. Absolutely no need for it imo.
  20. I'm keen to know about the hammy injury he played with in the 2021 GF. Feel free to ask in a more eloquent way but as someone who has had a range of hammy injuries it seems wild to me that he was able to play such a big game and was passed fit by the medical staff. Was pain an issue, or was it more of a restriction in movement come game day? Did he have to get pain injections to get through?
  21. Merge both [censored] truck teams from the West haha. Problem solved
  22. Everyone is looking at the pre-move dynamics of the two examples I gave. I guess for completeness I could have added Weid, Sauce and Bedford to the discussion My point was more around the outcome. The grass isn't always greener, despite the longer contracts and more money out there. Need to balance sucess and enjoyment with the other factors. In years gone by I'd have thought that was a glib statement, but pretty sure the Jackson and Hunts moves would be referenced as possible outcomes at some level during the decision making process.
  23. The plight of Luke Jackson and Jayden Hunt are proving to be great examples of why players should re-sign rather than go elsewhere. Either go for more money and be held to unrealistic expectations, or go for more opportunities at a weaker club and get thrashed non stop haha. Not saying these situations always play out like this, but they're a great example to guys like Chandler who might have options to consider.
