  1. We earned the 2nd chance and will take on a decent opponent next week. Keen to understand whether the pannel saw our poor i50 conversion to be attributed to poor connection or just great defence. Clearly I'm being a little facetious- these two things are linked but I feel like our fans aren't willing to give the Collingwood defence credit where it's due. We were 2 kicks away from a home prelim - Moore and Quaynor stood taller than our forwards and made the difference. Do you see the blues or swans being able to defend as well as the pies did? I don't see it. Prelim at the Gabba awaits
  2. 'when the ball was gone and the spoil was finished he tucked up for a bump and hit him in the face' 👋
  3. No way. Absolutely no reason to jump directly at the player in that instance. Hope he gets rubbed out and watches us beat them in the GF

Bring it on. We'll be ready. Petracca to play more forward and JJ to come in. If Roo gets week I'm backing Grundy unless BBB is 100%
  5. Bitter pill to swallow. Shoulda woulda coulda. Still think we can make a prelim, and then who knows what happens. Certainly feel like we can/could beat them if we were to play them again
  6. If we loose my phone will errupt with tennis racquet emojis 🎾
  7. Congrats on a great home and away season for the pod. I see the weather is looking slightly dicey. What's the pannels take on how this could influence selection. I fear that teams can over react to the forecast at the selection table and i hope we don't do that. For example I'd be bringing in Tmac for Melk rain, hail or shine and I'd stick with 3 tall backs.
  8. Seems to me that the AA judges have been told to look at the season in isolation and in doing so have over compensated by ommiting players with great records who had slightly down years by their lofty standards. Gawn and May are locks if you were picking a team
  9. I'm so keen for this match up. We'll win, beat GWS in the prelim and then beat Lions on the G for the flag haha

Melkshams form was a major part of our formline in the run home. Brutal timing for the veteran
  11. How early is too early to book flights to the prelim and/or GF 😎
  12. The milkshake injury is super hard to take. Opens the door back up for one of TMac, BBB or Grundy you'd think. @Demonlandno more one on one interviews until the off season 😅
  13. Wasn't able to watch the 2nd half. What happened to Milkshake?
  14. Team selection looks like we might want to win this 🤔
  15. 14/15 - not 100% sure which one I got wrong... Oh man, went back and checked. I thought it was just a bad photo of Jamie Bennell 🫠
  16. Do we rest key players and back ourselves to smash the pies in week 1 of the finals!?
  17. I'm of the opinion we should try Schache. Can't be less effective than Grundy if were talking pure forward role only, and is worth a look before we go back to BBB and Tmac

Had PTSD flashback to the 'Relax...We got this Thread' of years gone by
  19. Hard to disagree with the OP other than to say that revisionist/hindsight analysis is the easiest analysis. Salem kicks the goal and/or Tracs kick gets called a goal and this thread doesn't exist. It's hard to go into finals with the weight of expectation, but I don't think writing us down helps the mindset
  20. Salem and Bowey both had opportunities to kick goals in the last. Didn't kick them and therefore we didn't deserve to win. Reality check before the finals. Not the end of the world

I'd like nothing more than TMac to get a game and wind back the clock. For me only BBBB and TMac can play with JVR if were only playing 2 out and out tall forwards. When Fritta comes back in it'll be very interesting to see what mix they go with. Can't deny that Milkshake has shown his class lately. I don't think it's time to go with Grundy yet. having said that goody might want to give it a go pre-finals to see how it looks again, potentially with Max having more ruck minutes than he did earlier in the year when they both played
  22. Decent summary. Surprised people still get Sparrows name wrong though. Tommy is a Gun
  23. Long way to go. Thee heartening aspect to this season is that we seem to be building nicely, whilst some of the other leading sides are starting to look a little shakey. See how the next month pans out
  24. For sure. Macallan is high class. I don't believe I've had the Shery cask but have had a few bottles over the years
