Old chap - can't have been much snow at Banff during our footy season, what oh? Still, I guess one can just hang out with some of the chaps from school, or maybe from the city, and have a few cocktails, or do a bit of work for the old man, what? And old chap - better keep a bit of an eye on those Xavier chaps - they are gaining a bit of a reputation for getting a bit out of hand at times - and most of them are Catholics, what!

Yoda- I guess we could have crumbled and spent all our dough on a disloyal lying hypocrite, (with a Dickie knee thrown in, unless of course the games he missed in 2011 were not due to an injury at all, but were just another part of the growing panoply of lies) and losing other developing stars in the process and dividing the playing group.......so, the fact that he has gone IS a blessing. The resistance to he short term 'easy option' can only strengthen the group

Well then let us all once again be happy that Jordan McMahon can kick from 50 metres under pressure, otherwise we could have missed out on the one who I, and I think most here, believe is a honorable and top grade player who may well go on to captain a premiership team; one who I actually would beleive if he said he wanted to be a one team player ( I guess just as I naively believed from the mouth of one T$, before it was stuffed with gold)!

Ho, hum.........does anyone other than Dumbitrou actually care? $heedy is too senile to remember, and T$ has his cash - in a year or so he will pledge lifelong loyalty to the latest highest bidder!
-
Americanization -- don't forget Vlad's talk of having two "conferences". What next, "tip off" time? Maybe cheerleaders after a goal? Or that bloody awful blaring music after a score - does that still happen at the short game cricket?
-
Maybe he was combining those two singers, one famous worldwide, and one from our own club - Robinson Caruso?
-
Like $heedy, in the lying clip about Harrison and Wills "he come from here....and he come from here too.".

I was some intensive porposises at see whirled - dew they count?

Nevertheless, it wouldn't hurt them to know that at least a section of the Footy public knows that they are blatantly lying. Hell, if this could be construed as an advertisement, it may even be actually illegal under truth in advertising laws. Have you considered putting it in the wider domain such as BigFooty, or even sending it to say the H-S, or may we quote you in such fora?

I don't recall Clark publicly pledging his undying loyalty, his love of the club and burning desire to be a one club man only 6 or so months ago.

Mark Neeld on SEN Breakfast 4 November
monoccular replied to Rolling Stone's topic in Melbourne Demons
Articulate, confident, decisive ---- geez I am excited. -
So senile old $heedy has as much credibility as does young (and the elder for that matter) $cully, and in fact anyone who has anything to do with GW$. Now that is no surprise. A pack of lies, presumably promoted by Vlad either knowingly as lies, or at very best not doing due diligence. I guess he never expected someone to actually show the resourcefulness of Whispering Jack and actually research it. Jack- are you some sort of attorney? Well done. What an absolute [censored] - but in fairness I sm sure he didn't write the script, as that would suggest some degree of literacy, but clearly ("he come from......") he tweaked the grammar himself. PS: Jack - will you be forwarding your well researched post to Vlad - he really needs to know that he has been caught out!

Forget the guernsey number upgrades -- I reckon that Liam is only half the player at #24 that he was at #48 -- maybe make him #96 and he will be unstappable.

2011 Player Review - # 28 Joel Macdonald
monoccular replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I would regard Joel as a very adequate, courageous and team oriented stop gap, who is likely to be superceded pending the development of Tom McDonald and Davis. As regards the poster who regards him ahead of Bartram, whilst I tend to agree in terms of ability and performance, they play completely different roles so IMO are not competing for the same slot. -
Now for the crumbing pacy small forward
monoccular replied to Grandson of a gun's topic in Melbourne Demons
IMONicholson is too valuable as a quick strong pressurising defender to shift forward, but I guess it depends a bit on the 'role' Neeld has in mind for the likes of Tapscott and Grimes - if they are to be used as mids then Nicho definitely will be needed in defence at some stage. Personally, I would push for Aaron to be re-invented as the small crumber, and / or Jetta who seems to like tackling and applying pressure: not sure about his goal sense however. -
What is he 'rehabbing' from?
-
........... try the first 8 or so seconds of this..... The crowd mix look a bit like what he will expect in Sydney's west as well, though there are probably more in the clip than they will get to most games out there. And then, don't forget his mother too - by the sounds of it they will want to offer her a job too!

Obviously he has a very short memory, or maybe thinks the rest of the world cannot remember back to his declaration of loyalty made ias recently as March 2011. I am just $0 glad that our club didn't waste money trying to outbid GW$ for the services of this disloyal mercenary little hypocrite - one wonders what his story will be in another $ix month$, especially after putting up with the antics of senile old Kev.

I will be fascinated just what "role" Neeld has in mind for him. He has been tried as a mid / tagger with mixed results: he has the strength and the tank, though I am unsure re the temperament. Looking forward with interest - surely unless he delivers the unexpected, Lynden is entering his final tear. May be useful 'insurance' but that cannot be sustained.

"THE FRUIT LOOP"! Surely more appropriate for the GW$ coach !

Col Sylvia suspended for Round 1, 2012
monoccular replied to Bring-Back-Powell's topic in Melbourne Demons
And maybe no coincidence, Geelong and Stevie J - 3 flags later.................. -
But.....a good skilled HBF who can deliver with precision to the HFs as well as negating their opponent is a very valuable weapon. Sure you need mids too, but HBF is not necessarily a waste of talent. Can be a real positive.

So, there is hope for Bartram then ?? -
2011 Player Review - # 29 Michael Newton ®
monoccular replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
I guess the fact that he remained on our lists for 7 years without playing more than about ten memorable minutes makes him a point of interest and discussion." Surely must be some sort of a record.- 101 replies

Will Phil be qualified to stand in as coach when senile Kev gets lost on the way from the nursing home to Paramatta or wherever this artificial franchise is based?? Todd was a highly qualified stand in for Yoda.
