The current administration should be summarily dismissed
monoccular replied to binman's topic in Melbourne Demons
Absolutely disgraceful - this administration allowed three first round draft picks to leave without getting at least first round picks in exchange. Disgraceful stuff. Sack the lot of them. Then publicly [censored] them prior to their being drawn and quartered. That will show them ....something. (Is that the response you wanted?) ;-)) -
Great post and cause for genuine optimism going in to 2013. GO DEMONS!!!! BRING IT ON.

We wanted Pedersen; we didn't want Gysberts and we got what we could for him - the alternative could have been just to delist him for no pick at all. He was going to go - we got a pick ?rookie upgrade?

So I guess the doomsdayers will start saying that "Davey is not joining in.....means a rift ....etc etc" Where is that Misfit guy from Dumbitriou's staff? Did the ladies with prams show more intensity than some of our recent delistings used to? -

No, never heard of it and of course never indulge in it myself ;-) -
In the year 186 Peasants in Gaul staged an anti-tax uprising under Maternus. I guess they may have been hungrier than many MFC players !!

Wow - Terry "Tiger Development Hero" Wallet says........... Almost puts me off Wines, but not quite. Sounds the goods to me.

I doubt if we will ever see any skinny player however talented in the Neeld era.

2012 Player Review - # 49 James Magner (R)
monoccular replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
He does what Neeld asks for: trains hard and goes full on at the footy, and does the one percenters. NOT the world's most talented player (like ?Morton, Gysberts) but never questioned. -
I must say I have been in two minds about Stef: but with the arrival of Dawes and Pedersen, and (hopefully) the recovery of Gawn and the return to health of Fitzy, then where would he play?
-
Jacobs surely would be our first target.
-
Tippett, his management and Adelaide are surely all jointly culpable and should all be penalised to the max for draft tampering and bringing the game into disrepute.

I dont think many here will care as none of the aforementioned are MFC players. -
Hogan, Viney, Dominic, Dawes....all has beens?? Geez some are hard to please. Why the hell don't you join the other guy from another thread - I certainly cant be bothered to look up his pseudonym - and sign up with the player spitters at Richmond. WE DO NOT NEED "SUPPORTERS" LIKE YOU. [censored] OFF.
-
I would agree - Hird must be desperate; the golden haired boy who hasn't lived anywhere near up to expectations. It will be interesting to see how long they will keep him should they choke again.
-
Are you suggesting that its last owner lacked vigour? Was that the problem?
-
I hope you enjoy watching Richmond ... we won't miss folk who jump ship as you have who prefer Richmond's culture to our own. Good luck.

Presumably the club has had favourable reports on Bartram regarding his new 'fatty' knees. It would be fantastic if he was able to put in a decent preseason and have his hardness once again on the field. Sadly however I doubt if fat transplants can do much about his disposal :-(((

Leave Howe where he is - Liam was ever only half the player at #24 he was at #48. Not keen on #24 - after all, sure he can take speccies but he can also do the defensive stuff, unlike some others who have worn this number. OK with Viney at #1, or #5, or maybe even #31. Question: was Todd always #12 or do I recall something like 42?

POLL: Do you want Mark Neeld to remain coach in 2013?
monoccular replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
1953 was as bad.......and we played finals for the next decade!Keep faith. -
Geez..........still no concept of personal responsibility of the players themselves, for not working hard enough at training and on their own personal programs, not wanting the ball enough to throw themselves in 100 percent for every contest, not sacrificing themselves for the team, not taking a hit when for the greater good. No, of course, someone else is to blame. So 1990s and thereafter. Former players #5&10 were rated highly by all recruiters, so BP stuffed up, not the players themselves and the development team?
-
What "talent" have we sacrificed? The underperforming underwhelming Morton and Gysberts: two who have either refused to fit into the hard fit Neeld requirement, or who are unable to do so? Martin who is now surplus to our requirements? You say that history has proven that youth is the key - like at the reigning Premiers? Not! Balance and hard mature bodies are the key, not speculative feeble youth, though one needs youth, strong hungry youth, to develop. FCS to suggest that Neeld is the worst mistake since Norm Smith's sacking is drawing an incredibly long bow.......there have been so many disasters since then that it is far too early to make any such call. IMVHO Neeld is more likely to be the best thing we have had since Norm than anything approaching nothing near the worst. At least, to paraphrase John Kennedy ( not the assassinated US President, but the first Hawks Premiership coach) he has at least " done something" when so many of his predecessors have done nothing. GO DEMONS - BRING ON 2013 so we can mute the negative soothsayers!
-
Well, I reckon these last few weeks Neeld has spelt out very very clearly - NO DESIRE, NOT WELCOME AT MFC!
