  1. Just love statistics. We kicked our highest score for the year without Hogan. Does that say we don't need him ?? :-))) Just love statistics. "Proves" that we are worse this year than last ;-)))
  2. How long since we actually won two (or for that matter three) on the trot??
  3. I thought that Gibbs' tackle was far more aggressive and aimed to injure - two motions and a definite thrust downward, whereas Trengove dropped him almost in a continuous motion. But I agree with whoever above posted - if they want to rub this out then pay a free every time not just when there is an injury.
  4. With his history of back problems I would prefer not to put him right in the middle: certainly HFF roaming from wing / HB to deep forward though would be great (essentially what he does now anyway). And certainly very minimal ruck duties.
  5. Roos said that last night, which I take as the death knell for Jordie ....a guy with a huge heart and amazing work ethic but sadly NQR skills for today's game. Still, every young aspiring player could take a leaf out of Jordie's book for getting the best out of themselves through hard work and dedication to the task. He has given his all in every game he played for us. Imagine if the guy who we essentially swapped for him had a preseason ---- could have been an absolute gun.
  6. His old man was a pretty ordinary kick early in his career. Jack is probably better at this stage than was Todd. But Todd worked and learned and ended up a fairly reasonable kick: not a bet your house on type, but quite reliable.
  7. The one that that moron Derwayne called "Watts marks...turnover...." !! How about "..goal assist.."?
  8. What a difference a week - and a win - makes.
  9. Beating the other one would feel just as good. Round 19 August 9th at the G
  10. One down....many to go. Go dees.
  11. What a truly nice dilemma to be faced with though Well presented post that. Good analysis of strengths and weaknesses.
  12. Back to the thread title - that photo made me cry with joy
  13. Someone will be desperately unlucky next round if Jesse is fully fit. And I don't remember seeing gut running from any MFC player in a very long time anything like that shown by ANB in that goal he got from the Watts handball. Amazing for any player, let alone a second gamer who really did appear last week to be not quite ready. He, and the whole team, can learn a lot from that one effort.
  14. Nice to see some rare optimism on this site .......... and so well rewarded today. :-))
  15. One typical example of his idiocy, was in the third quarter 2:42 to go "Gawn, tackled by Rivers...turnover..." Yet he actually handballs to ANB who goals !! I was going to say, 'what is he thinking', but I should say, 'what, is he thinking?'
  16. Brayshaw - remind me....how many years has he been on our list? How many preseasons?OMG - when he gets a few preseasons under his belt and a few games up he could be ok!!
  17. Thanks for the clarification If Jones was the worst captain, where did that leave the Ducker today then?? What an [censored].
  18. Add in the complete career turnarounds last season by the previously much (and rightly) maligned Nev Jetta and Lynden Dunn. Sure the individuals have to do the hard yards, but a coaching panel with great people skills seem to have engendered self belief in those listed who must seriously have doubted their abilities. They are all playing with self belief. Well done club as a whole.
  19. Did you forget Jesse Whathisname? Did long ago Like today?? :-)) Interesting thought process. Wasn't at the game and couldn't get TV - was the forward process vastly different this week?? Mick Malthouse says hi Jeff. Sorry but what is this all about? Is it that tweet - totally illegible on my iPad.
  20. How long to go??????? Count up says 28:20
  21. OMG. just following scores and time No. Don't let this rare opportunity slip Please. Garlett goal at 24:34 How long left anyone???
  22. Not able to watch or listen Following scores on AFL CAN THEY PLEASE HOLD ON - OR EVEN BETTER PUSH AHEAD
  23. Yes. Mea culpa. Only time will tell but I would predict Hogan by a long shot.
  24. Not mocking your idea, but how would it be that our players could see the traffic lights but the opposition cannot? Secret code of the day?
  25. Interesting - one more scoring shot in a 20 point loss Good to see JKH and Giraffe in the listed better players Who were the betters in our correspondents' opinions?
