  1. Jesse Hogan would be pretty handy right now - though he is getting A+ rather than D- delivery much of the time
  2. Can the umpires get CFC over the line? Only need 2+ goals in 3 minutes Ignored a clear HTB against CFC with 2 minutes to go
  3. Not a problem. Always good to have this farce of a feeder / development competition shown up. and no goal reviews going against us?? Not just evidence - further evidence My prep granddaughter does a far better job than these do It does, but remember we started the season with 2 gone for the year, and have lost a third for the season
  4. There is a challenge for Andy, binman and George - get Goody on as a mid season guest 🙂
  5. Or maybe not so long before - "MFC have an elite junior at Dandenong this year" "Just change the rules to allow free bidding, for this year only" "Fixed" Just about everything else in the AFL is fixed, so why not this?
  6. Won’t look quite so good when a couple of holdover emergencies don’t play because they are stuck in Melbourne. Like some were stuck in Brisbane last week, or maybe played after a rushed late flight from Brisbane
  7. Great question. The lack of liaison means both competitions suffer, especially the novelly named VFL. Hold over emergencies miss weeks of football development because the AFL and the VFL just don’t seem to care.
  8. I guess they may - and guess which team will be the test bunny?
  9. Or .... obvious player I refuse to name Actually 16 other clubs - EssUndone have done it and Collingwood won't.
  10. Surely you need some "good ordinary"players on the list, although of course it would be great to have 30 stars on the list - however there would be a lot of friction were that the case. Tommo has given us great service and was really very unlucky to have done his ACL in 2021 when he did - could well have been a premiership player.
  11. And remember Melksham has about a decade of preseasons and experience over Ashcroft.
  12. Ahhh. Just love the "support / feeder competition" organisation. Pathetic. 👀🪡 Surely, in the context, you should be saying "isn't he special"? Good luck in your recovery. Have a chat to TMc and Petty.🙄 Fullarton?? Tholstrupp would be very stiff to be dropped. Maybe sub?? Deemania - where do we send the application form for MFC Kicking Coach?? Cpt Darling: I say, listen - our guns have stopped Lt George: You don't think .... Pte Baldrick: Perhaps the war is over. Perhaps its peace Cpt Darling: Thank God. We lived through it. The Great War, 1914 - 1917. Hip Hip hooray
  13. Michael Tuck says hi. Was it 3 years in Hawthorn Reserves then a record holder at the Hawks for total senior games? https://www.getyarn.io/yarn-clip/7fea7526-918f-44e2-9afe-c79ccd8bd242
  14. Maybe Moore didn't set out to do damage, but maybe he didn't really care if he did.
  15. I doubt if anyone here looks at Collingwood practice sessions - but I suspect that Moore doesn't attempt to spoil his team mates in such a reckless manner. FCS I recall someone (in the immediate aftermath) trying to even criticise Goody for allowing Trac to be playing in the forward line It appeared to even be acceptable earlier this year when Max received a knee to the back of the head in a ruck contest by de Koenig I think - "PLAY ON"!!! But of cause the sanctimonious hypocrites in charge say "the head is sacrosanct".😡
  16. Well obviously not unthinkable, BBO - many here seem to think he can come straight back. Might have been the original plan, thinking we may have been sitting fairly comfortably right now, but now maybe we can't afford to "hold him back for finals" as we really need to start winning consistently right now.
  17. Sorry and may be seen as nitpicking - the game is Australian Rules Football: the AFL is the body in whose avaricious, conflicted and hypocritical hands it is being destroyed as an enjoyable contest.
  18. In fact too predictable that a thread with this title would come out sometime.
  19. 190 cm - presumably he is still growing too. But other than his name is he a good or good+ player?
  20. which would, of course, be a rule change itself 🤔
  21. Is that because it is run by jerks? Interesting - have there ever been twin father son prospects before? No doubt Carlton will demand, and get, a two for one special deal, otherwise, if they are any good as players, they would have to expend most of their draft numbers in getting them. Couldn't have that, could we?
  22. Maybe Harrison is hamstrung by his ankle? And WTF is general soreness Bowey? Presumably hiding something. 🙄
  23. Wait for the AFL to justify a NT team - despite the insanity of a team playing in the Darwin heat and humidity all season (even with some Alice games) - on the basis of "with the Tasmanian team we will have an unbalanced number necessitating byes and nobody wants that. 10 rounds a week - gosh, Thursday nights will be a permanent thing, and probably Monday nights too. Is that OK Fox and 7??" Talk about killing the goose that laid the golden egg. Of course the talent pool will be further diluted, and the cesspool from which they find maggots will have to be even deeper, despite the FACT that they cannot get enough half competent umpires already. At least 4 more required. But we can't afford 21st Century goal line camera technology. I love the Demons. I despise the AFL as an organisation.
  24. I pick both IF the 'slight push', like the jabs in the guts, didn't happen there would be no free. I really hope that one of their annual rule changes this off season, in fact their only one, is to make it very clear that every punch to the guts, to or from whomever, is an offence that starts at one week for a first offence. Yes, for every player and every team. I guess nothing will happen until a Collingwood or Carlton player gets his spleen ruptured - yes, it can and does happen sometimes from an unexpected and undefended gut punch. It is cowardly and designed to gain an unfair advantage even if for only a moment. The "Legendary" Brett Harvey specialised in it, then squealed when he received retaliation, sometimes leading to a report and suspension. Clarry is the receiver more often than most as it puts him at least momentarily out of the contest. Bernie Vince once went down and actually vomited and had to leave the field (can't remember the offender off hand but I am sure someone here will remember). Yet these inane commentators call it "a love tap". What a pack of Neanderthals.
  25. Sure. Insanity is doing the same thing over and over and hoping for a different result. If you always do what you’ve always done, you’ll always get what you always got. What has been the club’s response to these ongoing repetitive failures? Serious question? Same skills coach. Same forward coach. 🤬😡
