Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)
They just love pinging Clarrie for HTB (in an instant) or for "incorrect disposal". 20 frees against already this year . Yet Cripps in particular (whole Carlton and Geelong teams actually) get free reign to drop in a tackle or throw at will. They seemed to pick out the "touch" on ANB's goal in the final despite zero evidence on replay and zero protestations from the CFC players - cost us the game in the end. Is the May touch review to be seen anywhere on AFL.com ? Just off the top of my head, the de Konig (second goal of the game I think) against Max was extremely soft.

JvR Enters Concussion Protocols
I wonder if he will travel to Perth anyway to catch up with family? Pity he can't get to perform in their presence. I would suspect that he will return to the team once ready - doubt if he will play at Casey. (May depend on the timing of concussion protocols and of the Casey game) But it will be interesting who they play in Perth - BBB maybe as he seemed to get plenty of the ball at the weekend. Or maybe Fullerton to give Max some chop out as well. Who else could be the back up ruck? Petty maybe? I don't know - how are the WCE rucks? (Far, far left field - ?? Verrall to debut as Max's deputy??)

NON-MFC: Round 09
Ethan - I just thought I would look at the last 2 minutes of AD v B on the AFL site - and I got Kellie and Derwayyyn. I concluded that Derwayyyn was only the second hardest commentator to listen to. So glad I didn't watch it all or that she hasn't done one of our games yet this season. Totally unlistenable.

CASEY: Rd 07 vs Carlton
You could easily have been speaking of Thursday night too. Maybe give the young tall a third year if he headed in the right direction.

No explanation needed. Bleeding obvious.

NON-MFC: Round 09
Inspirational daydream: Hawks and Saints look at home on Tasmania, as do North. A triple merger would create a very competitive team and consolidate the competition, and no bloody bye, and no dilution of the talent pool. Wonβt happen of course ππ€

My 3 word player analysis V Carlton
I suspect that you "know nothing", Schultz JVR and Weed are poles apart - JVR shows more aggression in every contest than (great guy) Weed did ever.

NON-MFC: Round 09
Didn't they just get some ridiculous amount for a new scoreboard - just as cancer funding was severely slashed?

NON-MFC: Round 09
What an absolute sooker of a person and no respect for opponents. Hope it bites him in the bum. GO GC$ next week.

NON-MFC: Round 09
Now 2.13.25 to 11.2.68 I guess when we complain about our kicking for goal we need to think of Fred, at home The SEN commentators mention at some stage that he didn't look right .... Scott of course will say he didn't see the incident. Please explain, Geelong. Please GC$ knock them off up in Darwin.

NON-MFC: Round 09
Not only the decision to complain about, but at their home ground as well. β€οΈ

Umpiring (Demonland in meltdown)
What a sick (and some would say corrupt) organisation is the AFL and their MRO. Kozzi got time for nothing different to Newman, and every week some opposition thug takes advantage of the league's pathetic weak adjudication of deliberate gut punches. Wait for one of our guys to do it - "we need to stamp out this behaviour".

NON-MFC: Round 09

POSTGAME: Rd 09 vs Carlton
Maybe the first quarter slow start was more mental than physical. They just didnβt look sharp at all. And, most of the night nothing we tried seemed to come off β¦ yes, fumbles but also βunluckyβ bounces. The two βdeliberate oobβ were just appalling decisions. The first had the player tackled in the process of kicking so way off balance, the second just clueless. Then to rub it in, Carlton did several in the last half when they started to struggle and none were paid.

CASEY: Rd 07 vs Carlton
Maybe they are trying to hide him? I notice Kolt is named in the middle - maybe this is for "learnings" as well as for desperate needs? IF he does learn midfield skills it would add a very useful string to his HFF bow.

My 3 word player analysis V Carlton
JVR is still learning the game but has the necessary agro and drive.

2024 MRO & Tribunal
Will that Carlton player who elbowed ANB in the face get cited? Is there a suggestion of corruption in the AFL and MRO? Both questions could be answered concurrently. Also I think it was ANB again who received a gut punch after disposing on the outer wing in Q2 - any suggestion by the commentariat that this should be cited, or did they think it was "just. a love tap"?
-
2024 MRO & Tribunal
They certainly don't seem to even try to dispel those suggestions. But then, Carlton are still in the race, so, as GWBush infamously said "mission accomplished".

PREGAME: Rd 10 vs West Coast
Let's see who does what at Casey. No glaringly obvious changes to me IMO Billings is still NQR decision making and disposal - does AMW fill his role? McAdam is an interesting one - pulled out sick I believe early in Casey's last game. Has he recovered and can he play a full and good game Saturday? PS - wwsw β¬οΈ prodded my tired and frustrated brain - Chandler is looking NQR too. Is he fit or carrying an injury? McAdam could fill that role if fit.
