Most of us here I am sure would be overjoyed were he to earn / deserve 10-15 games in 2025. But not gifted to give him confidence Send him to Geraldton to train with Judd’s grandpa?? Of course “doing a Judd McVee” in terms of tank and running does depend on his body type as well as hard work and determination.

Surely Wayne Carey would be a shoe in as a cultural mentor at any club - or Stringer? 🤗🙄

Great players do not necessarily make great coaches. Hird, Buckley, Voss (at least version #1) say hi.

😮 Bowey certainly wasn't anywhere near his former self recovering from his fractured clavicle - hopefully he will be 100% by start of 2025. And yes depending on other personnel, he could perhaps be looked on as a HFF/ tagger / mid type, ANB replacement if he has the tank.

An AFL academy - great idea. “Lesser clubs” can develop players who can then get picked up by franchise clubs, or “big clubs”.

James Podsialy (?spelling) I think may have been a midseason pickup (from VFL) and was an immediate success. Mind you he was an established VFL mature aged player. Some here wanted him delisted because he didn’t do much in his first half season, carrying injury. 🙄

JVR played very well as a forward, and commendably as a ruck, but this definitely detracted from his forward production and development. Will Campbell alleviate this problem, or is he only a back up if Max were absent?

Agree DS - in some of the early rounds the ball was delivered sharp and low forward on many occasions, so much so that I thought the days of bomb it long to the pocket heavy packs were possibly a thing of the past. Sadly we reverted to type pretty soon.
