FMD the maggots are do7ng their best for the franchise Those last two frees right in front were just demonstrating their inconsistency: if the first to GW$ was high so was the one on Jetta EDIT this was posted just before half time but only just came through

Casey Demons v Williamstown - Round 21
monoccular replied to KC from Casey's topic in Melbourne Demons
Diamond Jim A quick look at google maps indicates that Casey has a southern end which happens to be nearer the sea than the other end which is often referred to as the northern end, or far less commonly the anti- southern end Hope that makes it all clearer. -
The impressive thing about all the kicks mentioned is that they were all very cool headed decisions and in pressure situations. Hopefully they will all learn, take heed, and carry forth

In his system on match day, Peter. Nice try. Or, or and?

Gifting CFC (and Saints) all those prime time games this year, whilst giving very few to one of the most watchable attacking teams (us) just shows where the priorities of Gillon and his henchmen lie. Then, after setting up all those unwatchable games through their own ineptitude, they want to change the rules to bring back audiences! Do they even watch those terrible games themselves, or just look at the TV ratings? Pity he just doesn’t ride off into the sunset on his polo pony never to be seen again in AFL circles. We have just been rid of the worst and most waffling PM* in history; now let’s do the same for the worst and most waffling CEO in AFL history. *PS ... yes, I do remember Billy McMahon.

Just as well MFC has cancelled their early September end of season skiing trip this year. Far too dangerous.
-
Clearly the club needs total disqualification, meaning that MFC, should they win on Sunday, would finish fourth ?? But seriously looking forward to McChinny spin on this.

Match Preview and Team Selection - Round 23
monoccular replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Is quirk the same as corruption? Spargo has (may have said it before) had a stellar debut season but looked stuffed v SS and still underdone v WCE. Much as it may seem unfair in him, personally I would run JKH this week in his stead. The pre finals bye (thanks Mr Gillon Knee Jerk) May just freshen him up. A balanced and succesful winning team doesn’t necessarily preclude changes IF one may have underperformed or another better player is ready to return, though I share your general sentiment -
Kent has an opportunity over the next (hopefully) 5 weeks to cement his place; alternatively to cement his boots. Over to you, Dean.
-
What forward would want to play under Lyon’s horrible negative game plan?
-
You obviously failed to see VDB being legged without penalty (assuming this is the same incident)
-
Does he have any official rôle in the club? Would he make a good forward coach or even goal kicking coach? Could he maybe help eliminate Jesse’s stuttering run up with resultant improved conversion rate?
-
And don’t us demon fans who love the club know all about being hurt by our loved ones. ???
-
????? I guess I am too old to understand any of that, but then these posters have probably not been alive for 7 demon premierships either ???????

Not really .... absolutely nothing nice in any way about him. Or spread the jelly babies around at half time ?
-
Well let’s keep him well clear of the Roundup then.

WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB - CLAYTON OLIVER
monoccular replied to Freddy Fuschia's topic in Melbourne Demons
Haven’t seen those clips since before he debuted I must say I thought that it must have been very highly edited but seriously one sees most of that in every game he plays now. A truly amazing phenomenon, and best of all, a DEMON! -
Christians are supposed to be charitable and forgiving but this is, most of the time, ridiculous Are you suggesting he is quite sweet?
-
juzz - your last paragraph sums it up. The WCE players are so used to getting soft frees at their home ground that they just continued to wait for the free that didn’t, and shouldn’t, have come. Well umpired, for a long overdue change. How can you rig a game? Check out the replay of the Port game. Very clear that one. oK, maybe not absolutely rigged, but absolutely certainly the maggots were intimidated by the crowd, but they were not this time.

Only if one contacts blood from a WCE or Collingwood fan. But on a serious note, I did hear recently some infectious diseases specialist saying something along the lines of the risk of catching a BBD in this context being infinitesimal. Maybe Gill could ask Waleed Aly his expert opinion?

Maybe they realized that they had to....? Good idea to have a VFL run, since Wojinski isn’t playing ?
