  1. Certainly a work in progress, and I wouldn't write him off just yet, as many have. IF he can improve his tank over the off season, he may well find more confidence in contested marking and chasing down defenders who, if caught by him, would be in mortal fear. Ruck coaching and Max mentoring could also help his ruck craft. Over to you, Braydon - get super fit and give yourself a chance to prove the critics wrong.
  2. Maybe Jab gave it to Dank 'for services rendered'?
  3. Exactly - I seem to recall reading at the time it was a substance NOT approved for human use, and as such it was NOT legal for players to imbibe / ingest / inject.
  4. Surprised that the ultra PC censor allowed it ?
  5. Thanks Hope that was essentially one year off allows him, as it did with Nev, to make a full recovery and return to his best.
  6. Presumably you mean 1.8 metres, 180 cm, which actually isn't very tall at all (unless you are Charlie Spargo). I too was impressed at his debut but saw very little more after that.
  7. dazzle - presumably you watched him in previous seasons, which I didn't. As a half back is he accountable, as well as being a good kick?
  8. Don't choke on the schadenfreude! Must have been the camp - glad we didn't have one as we have done so well since.
  9. But only in the MCC section, surely.
  10. Lots of confusing posts in this thread. Him ... who?
  11. So, doc, you know for a fact that we didn’t target Papley??
  12. I think Redleg was talking about our admin, not our backline. ?
  13. Those two have regularly contributed to MFC losses, so would they continue to do so?
  14. dazzle - which of the 25,000 rumours is that?
  15. Siren used “for” not “from” but to ensure absolute clarity should have put in the hyphen.
  16. I would be absolutely delighted were Spargo or ANB in the right place at the right time for us!! In fact I would care less who was the last player in the 22.
  17. I searched the AFL lists and couldn't find him on any list ... what game is he actually playing?
  18. Hopefully he will help fix one of my greatest bugbears with MFC over many years, even back to the early Daniher years when we enjoyed some success, that is lack of running and positioning when a player must know that the ball isn’t going to come to him. I used to refer to it as decoying, drawing at least one opponent away from the coming contest, making space especially for the leading forward. Whether it was laziness, lack of fitness or poor coaching / game plan I don’t know, but I will watch with interest if this happens. Have you considered that maybe Tomlinson / Frost playing is not a binary option?
  19. ...do you mean struggle as in 24, 24 & 25 games the last three seasons, including finals? Are you suggesting that GW$$ would have more success without such a (to use a horrible term much loved by some negative posters here) a list clogger. Maybe he was "just s depth player" making up the numbers?
  20. Steve Armstrong He may have just been there to run after those two, topping them up ??
  21. What is his injury issue? Someone suggested a foot - that would definitely put me off in a big way. Are you a Kiwi, or is there more to this up in Brisvegas?
  22. Scarlett was a top grade beckman, but what is his coaching pedigree? Just being a top player doesn't make one a top coach - Voss, Hird, and even over his first few years, Buckley spring to mind: and, conversely, I don't remember Clarkson as being a top player but his coaching career has been "pretty reasonable". Maybe that is the real problem - 1,2,3,4 quarters in a game, not just 1,2,3, or 1,2, or 1, or 0 !
  23. Do we actually have anyone at the club capable of developing anyone as a KPP forward? Someone like Neita or Ox? What are they doing these days?
  24. Too injury prone - not interested. Let's go for Jamie Elliott. !
