  1. I am ambivalent about Alex. I love his work ethic and second efforts, but he remains very inconsistent.
  2. Do we, you, or anyone know that we are not interested? Maybe “we” are just being cagey and professional?
  3. Yeah. I am sure that neither he or the coaching staff could possibly have considered that without the prompt from our esteemed colleague here. We are indeed fortunate to have such folk here, guiding out players and coaches. Surprising with such expertise we haven’t won multiple consecutive flags (well, not since the 1950s anyway).
  4. Only the Australia Post executives anyway. Brilliant. And good fun. But we have one already. ?
  5. DeeSpencer - you must not be a 60 year Demonfan.
  6. basil - what juristriction are you in? I am current;y in WA and it was a joy to be able to walk unmasked, seeing other people's faces (even the ugly ones). Sit down for a coffee. I feel so bd for young kids in particular, who pick up so much socially from seeing people smile, or not ... there could be a generation of psychologically / emotionally 'flat' kids. P2J .... those, in fact most other jurisdictions in the world, had contact tracking sorted out before our second wave appeared. NSW learned very quickly from their Ruby Princess debacle - but at least they learned. Sadly our tracking was archaic, and still was at least until a couple of weeks ago.
  7. Does anyone have anything new about Aaron? Is he still listed? Is he walking? Running?
  8. Well said Billy. Not that your words will daunt then.
  9. Surely you couldn’t be suggesting that the AFL, Gil’s AFL, would be involved with any shonky underhanded manipulation of the rules, to favour one particular club?? ???
  10. Maybe their departing chief pharmacist has left “something special” in the bottom drawer that will cure Tom’s mystery injury?
  11. I love his enthusiasm and his preparedness to run, hand off, run to receive and hand off again. His second efforts are great considering his inexperience. Agile as they come Plenty of signs of a future B grader or above.
  12. Absolutely brilliant, WJ. One of the best. Anyway, and I didn’t want to say it when he was a possibility to join us, but I find him very unlikable; almost but not quite on the Goddard level, but close. (Maybe it was the smug look on his face at the last huddle when we beat them in that final 2018.)
  13. OMG - I saw there was an even number of teams and breathed a sigh of relief, thinking that would mean no byes. So, I presume that will mean a late start to the season, and bye or byes all meaning no work for the fringe and recovering players. Not at all good for player development, though (hopefully) a lot better than 2020 "scratch matches".
  14. I thought that I had observed that he had a lot of score involvements, but those numbers are even better than I could have dreamed, (even given that numbers ain't everything). There was actually no opportunity to impress, or otherwise, at Casey this year. Of the three, Spargo certainly seems to have the best "footy smarts".
  15. Much as I dislike Geelong and Hawthorn, they have both kept their successful lists together by (most at least) of their players not getting too greedy. Should be .... but as with coaches in particular not always, it appears.
  16. No surprise, as he seems to always think of himself. Full quarters would not be to his advantage, so why would he support it?
  17. And Bucks would know all about that.
  18. ...and not wearing a bloody mask, at least outdoors. Absolutely no doubt ... will be an absolute gun. Brownlow and Normie in debut season, but in keeping with tradition, no rising star votes.
  19. KPI #1 - have an even number of teams, to avoid the ludicrous situation where returning / recovering players are denied opportunities to play into form and press their claims due to recurring byes. With the feeder competitions often starting and ending weeks after / before the AFL dates, having the bye in round 1 is even more of a disadvantage. Very good point, especially as many of the players in the feeder competitions also need to have a real job as well.
  20. Yeah, maybe but given that our injury management (up until this year) has been so poor that He would be long forgotten. Nobody would even know of him. Having seen him play, I would really compare RDB with Martin as a player, not Dangerfield
  21. IPA sounds a bit like the (alleged) “good stuff” that Hird allowed his charges to have administered.
  22. Whilst not overly optimistic, I am glad to hear that I am not the only person who holds a glimmer of optimism that Tom McD could recover his 2018 form if his poor 2019 and 2020 were due to a remediable injury. He must be the first player ever to totally stuff up a set shot at goal ... but there were quite a few tonight. But then that was only a GF so obviously some of the participants were not up to it - worthless duds / list cloggers, as some here so offensively refer to some of ours.
  23. Learned it from his captain.
  24. 10 goals to 2 after half time — amazing stuff.
  25. Martin - ridiculous goal. If he doesn’t get the Norm the AFL are even more corrupt than I thought.
