  1. ANB is a testament to persistence and determination, with faith and guidance from the coaching staff thrown in. Were round by round scores given? Interested in particular who would have got the votes in the PF (Max obviously) and the GF.
  2. I guess his "genius" is knowing which injuries can safely (and beneficially) be "pushed through" and which ones require rest and rehabilitation.
  3. Wrecker - we need far more than three midfielders, and I have absolutely no doubt that Sparrow will join Harmes, ANB and JJ(and Dunstan) in playing his role in this classy midfield.
  4. Can any technocrat tell me how to transfer / store these on a USB .. both the audio ones for the car, and the videos for posterity. Thanks in anticipation.
  5. As I recall the votes were cast about 15 minutes before the end, after which Voss went crazy and should have won the Normie hands down. Had history of choking late in games / quarters … not any more (Adelaide away game maybe excepted)
  6. A very nice dilemma to have - Rivers would fit in as a midfielder or as a rebounding halfback ….. we have decent half back depth so he may well be offered some opportunity to show his wares in the engine room, if and when the brains trust sees it as appropriate. Jordie could have benefited by our current fitness and skills development team. He was reputed to be the hardest worker at training …. ANB has risen from honest battler with questionable skills to an essential cog in a Premiership team. Who really knows what could have happened if ……….
  7. Of course we would all prefer no injuries, but one man's injury is another's opportunity, and I think our next level development is better that it has ever been, despite the total dogs' dinner that was VFL 2020 & 2021. Bowey and Petty are prime examples of this.
  8. ,.,I guess Hawkins thought that he had seen the signs many times before ... just got the wrong side this time. 🤔
  9. West coast 2006 had Cox, Judd, Cousins, Kerr plus “the good stuff” at least for two of them.
  10. I can never stop laughing when I replay the “Max round 23 mark” and see the Cat defenders staring open armed at each other ….. “not my man”!
  11. Au contraire - I would hope that each and every one was.
  12. I am not good with posting pictures, but have always thought that Borat and Libba were clones.
  13. 1/. Could have tried Clark Kent in his alternate gear and still wouldn’t have beat our Max 2/ Stevie May says hi.
  14. Electrostatic attraction? Has he hidden some wires in his mitts?
  15. I guess a conspicuous absentee from the past players was the guy who played 42 games between 1989 and 1992, first in #48 and later in #24. 🤭
  16. We need to find a few more for Jacko, Kozzie and the new Sandgropers.
  17. Looks like a dead tree in the background - could remove it to help enlarge the ground?
  18. Both locked up in McGowan’s Empire I believe.
  19. Absolutely brilliant work thanks. I guess a labour of love and must have been a hell of a lot of fun doing it but still magnificent hard work. Can this be pinned indefinitely please mods?
  20. Maybe, for some reason, clubs are reluctant to deal with Essendon
  21. Last night I watched the PF again - looking at Tom in particular. He plays such a measured mature game for such a young man. Huge upside. Could be anything, especially with CP5, Clarry and JV7 still in the mix. Awesome thought.
  22. Maybe a good point re the 5 week reduction in preparation time - in which case it would seem equitable for both the GF and the losing OF teams to play each other in R1. It would take the shorter preseason out of the excuse box.
  23. As I remember, CP5, the reigning Norm Smith medalist, was seen to have a very high ball drop when he started, but has been corrected
  24. The more competition for places the better ….. nobody should feel too comfortable.
  25. Don’t forget #32 in our previous premiership Barrie Vagg. And why move a successful Tom Sparrow from 32 to 2 ? I always remember that Liam Jurrah was only half the player at 24 than he was at 48.
