  1. Weren't the original tribunal members going on about 0.8 seconds??
  2. What colour is cigar smoke, after the Port and cheese?
  3. You mean ever. Looking like the Moloney /Bartel case. Didn't hit but could have.
  4. QD - I am getting bored and thus pedantic. It is a regimen. A regime is a despotic dictatorship, like the AFL
  5. Charged with striking Did not strike QED
  6. That has nothing to do with protecting his team mate - and he is perpetuating the myth that JVR hit Barnett on the head anyway, and he seems to believe that he was injured by that incident.
  7. Pfffft. The AFL has never had integrity, so why would it start now? New CEO, maybe? But then he has been part of the circus long enough so nothing will change
  8. The one and only thing in this whole corrupted process that makes any sense at all. Please remind us of the wording of the official charge? Wasn't it striking, which clearly did not occur. I recall it cited high impact - yet they ignored all the words from then Suns that the stretcher was precautionary and that there was no injury sustained.
  9. Surely JVR will miss a few as a result of the brutal impact injury to his bicep ๐Ÿค”
  10. Are you trolling? Firstly he was not hit on the head and he was taken off for concern, later unproven, of a neck injury. And he did not hit his head at any time. He did not hit him with anything other than his upper arm. Kangaroo courts have no rules. Why stop there. Drawn and quartered would be more appropriate
  11. There is actually. In this case it was forearm vs head: in JVR it was bicep v neck and NO INJURY OCCURRED.
  12. Saying it again - there was no contact to the head either by JVR or by the ground. These idiots are contradicting themselves.
  13. Clearly the tribunal is racist against Zimbabweans.
  14. In fairness the Suns said from the word go, even before that smug dim witted Christian had cited JVR, that their player was NOT INJURED and that the stretcher was a precaution because he felt a crack in his neck. He will play this week. There is just ZERO LOGIC to these findings.
  15. But the idiots are still saying he hit Ballardโ€™s head when it clearly did not. Exactly like Chandler last year. Pick a new no name MFC player.
  16. Common sense and AFL in the same sentence? What planet are you from. Even less so from the star chamber tribunal. stinga - there was no contact between JVR and the back of his head. He ran into Kozzie's leg earlier (though of course Koz didn't get the free for low contact) - maybe had GC$ followed concussion protocols he should not have even been on the ground.
  17. Dwight :โ€œโ€ฆ.. . i think a fully fit Hibberd and an inform Tmac will allow Petty to also drop back and stiffen the backline up nicely. Salem will also help a lot. โ€œ Yes for sure, a fully fit Hibberd, and an in form and injury free Tmac would be just great โ€ฆ.. but are both those scenarios now just wishful thinking, or perhaps just happy memories? The current pressing problem preventing Petty going back into defence, where he made his reputation, is the lack of another fit and in form tall forward, notably Tmac and BBB. But if Tmac cannot run, and BBB cannot run, jump or bend, then we will have to make do for now, and hope at least one of those two come good, and / or Disco comes along as a third (almost) tall defender. People with very short attention spans may only remember the HTB against Hunter in the last quarter that cost a goal. (A correct decision by the umpire just this once, though not by Hunter).
  18. Agree great first step. Pity they didnโ€™t fly the flag for Chandler last year by the way. Second step should be appeals board IF this farce proceeds And a roaming mic for the pressers, with someone who can stop questions being asked without said mic Why insert โ€œotherwiseโ€? Surely it is both. But I donโ€™t think that JVR is Brownlow favourite and the powers that be would be very embarrassed if he were ineligible. โ€ฆ. and that person having proven time and time again his partisanism and or incompetence.
  19. Thanks Kev Was JVR there in good spirits, or was he nursing a severely injured bicep with which he tried to murder that GW$ guy??
  20. But being very very selective in doing this.
  21. Dunstall still remembers Earl Spaldingโ€™s accidental knee to his head, fracturing his sinuses and resulting in his having to wear that silly looking headwear. Hates Melbourne because of that. โ€œโ€ฆQuite honestly the AFL is absolutely cooked. โ€. Cooked or crooked?
  22. And contact was actually made with the inner upper arm - generally one of the softest areas on the body. Yes JVR made high contact (free kick) and the guy fell awkwardly but this is NOT a STRIKE and never will be. Seeing someone go off on a cart always rings alarm bells and demands close scrutiny but clearly Mr Christiansen just listened to the commentators and filled two weeks out of his hat or more likely a far less attractive bodily orifice. Since when did the AFL give a stuff about integrity? It is all about money, present and future. I wonder when and if if Sportsbet offer odds on MRO decisions or tribunal outcomes.
  23. Well they were sure needed last night Q4 Are there any data / stats on Q4 clearances both centre and around the ground for us vs the other quarters?
  24. The TV rights have a huge say despite denials. And the in game TV guys (who were seriously rooting for GC$ all game) said JVR would be in trouble, so he is. You mean like the repeated AND DELIBERATE punches and forearms to the back of players heads in marking contests. Max gets this most weeks. Never a free let alone a report. Open your bloody eyes Christian. Seriously if MFC donโ€™t come out all guns blazing who could blame JVR for wanting to leave the club at his earliest opportunity We must pursue this to the end. PS. It is no wonder that some believe that the AFL at large, and this lazy MRO in particular (who seems to sit back and wait for media referrals) are as corrupt as most African republics.
  25. Woewodin will get a game when he is ready and not before.
