  1. Actually not a bad idea (and yes I despise the concept of communism). Why should one club take all the profit just because of the way that the AFL decide to arrange the FIXture? For example when we play Collingwood, Essendon, Richmond at OUR ground, the MCG and it is arbitrarily designated as our away game we get nothing? And vice versa? Or teams like Geelong in their taxpayer funded ground get the lot when our fans can’t even get in? The spectacle is provided by both teams, why not the takings?
  2. Probably not - that would imply deliberation which is quite a sophisticated human brain function.
  3. Nothing I have seen tonight makes me diverge from my long held opinion that he, Joe Daniher, is THE dumbest player ever to play AFL VFL.
  4. Deserves 4 weeks - Swans’ discount = 1-2
  5. Port demonstrated that Geelong are susceptible to pressure - if we can apply similar pressure from the start on Thursday we will win well: if not we will struggle.
  6. We can really put a nail into Cats’ hopes on Thursday. Pressure hard and they crumbled. Then we need to hope that (a) Port peaked too early and (b) Magpies exposed by us Monday and have a slump, and peaked too early.
  7. And again. Arrogant prjck
  8. Peaked too early? Binman / George - have they loaded yet?
  9. Greasy arm nose picker apparently allowed to dissent without penalty.
  10. He was gifted a free plus 50 goal. 🙄
  11. I don’t care which team gets the free - but riding someone into the ground from behind (Allir this time) should never be HTB. NEVER.
  12. Thanks for that. Explains a lot actually. Immoral and unconscionable.
  13. Or even dissent. Descent would imply that they could get lower - is this possible?
  14. Other than that appalling gift to Dangerfield Port have the last 9 goals. Crush the morale.
  15. FFS these goal reviews take far too long. Then they draw it out a further 5 seconds with “result on scoreboard”. Just say “goal” or whatever and get on with it. I guess Gil thinks it “adds to the game day experience” 😠 PS Didn’t review at all the foot over the line last Monday.
  16. Garbage free to Dunderfield and an even worse 50. Gift goal.
  17. Maybe they will use the Magpie excuse - unwell?
  18. Dunderfield grabbing his hip - geriatric hip fracture?
  19. Frees 7-1 Geelong way. At Adelaide Oval!
  20. Bloody soft free to Dunderfield - shocking kick though. 🙄
  21. Bloody soft free to Dunderfield - shocking kick though. 🙄
  22. I have mede this point numerous times before - there will be a life changing broken neck unless this is actively discouraged ie a free against the player who goes in head first. Then the AFL will wring its hands and say that the player has no right to stand his ground! The vultures will circle and the ball getter will fade out of our great game. Michael Christian: "Feel lucky not to get a two match suspension". Another experimental MRO decision against our club. Pathetic Mr Christian.
  23. Started the season in brilliant form and his goal kicking was excellent. Like the rest of the team (actually all teams) he is showing signs of fatigue not that I am suggesting in any way that he needs “resting”. It is a fact of life - maybe George can pinpoint his loading status. A great forward looking signature - well done all concerned.
  24. Lucifer - firstly mandating a correct tackle before any consideration of HTB would be a good start. Too often it is a high or over shoulder tackle, or stacks on the mill therefore multiple in the backs paid as HTB. The mug making the play should trump the vulture every time. But the player going head first into a pack or an opponent needs to be penalized every time, for their own protection. Not sure there is a current rule but there should be. (case Rozzee v Hunter). Your final paragraph implies that there is actual integrity in the finals and the GF, indeed anywhere in the AFL. What historical evidence is there for this?
  25. Also cited. By the way, was this “incident” mentioned on TV broadcast? Or did Christian go through the whole game in slomo determined to find something?
