Actually not a bad idea (and yes I despise the concept of communism). Why should one club take all the profit just because of the way that the AFL decide to arrange the FIXture? For example when we play Collingwood, Essendon, Richmond at OUR ground, the MCG and it is arbitrarily designated as our away game we get nothing? And vice versa? Or teams like Geelong in their taxpayer funded ground get the lot when our fans can’t even get in? The spectacle is provided by both teams, why not the takings?

I have mede this point numerous times before - there will be a life changing broken neck unless this is actively discouraged ie a free against the player who goes in head first. Then the AFL will wring its hands and say that the player has no right to stand his ground! The vultures will circle and the ball getter will fade out of our great game. Started the season in brilliant form and his goal kicking was excellent. Lucifer - firstly mandating a correct tackle before any consideration of HTB would be a good start. Too often it is a high or over shoulder tackle, or stacks on the mill therefore multiple in the backs paid as HTB. The mug making the play should trump the vulture every time. But the player going head first into a pack or an opponent needs to be penalized every time, for their own protection. Not sure there is a current rule but there should be. (case Rozzee v Hunter). Your final paragraph implies that there is actual integrity in the finals and the GF, indeed anywhere in the AFL. What historical evidence is there for this?
