  1. WCE should really chair Margetts off the ground...
  2. Ripper contest this Derby, umpiring is pretty good except for that boundary boo boo.
  3. Kind of you-Hopefully this includes Sudan/African based MFC fans. (-;
  4. Just putting it out there, if anyone has a GF ticket guarantee, and it is in Perth and sadly they can't go, I would be willing to pay, and I would be flying back to Australia anyway, so the quarantine is no matter, I will need to do anyway. And even if we don't make it I still get to see family. Is obviously a risk because it feels like a jinx to plan for a GF we are not in yet, but it is doing my head in at the thought of missing it. Seeing a prelim in Perth wouldn't hurt either.
  5. I think on their forum they said if there is a link to the club by the (moderated) they would be binned. I really liked Adam Simpson's take on racism on the Amazon Prime documentary. He was clear about not walking past it and calling it out on the spot. Explained clearly and with passion.
  6. Personally I think Clarko is coaching for wins just to [censored] with Hawthorns draft position. ๐Ÿ˜ˆ
  7. I was meaning to do some research on this, but i have only seen one lost all year, any other tragic who has the stat on this?
  8. 2m Peter at Essendon yesterday had me thinking about Weid. Persist I say, I would also be happy if Tmac took a rest, we need him in good shape for finals and I actually reckon Weid would be better in a mobile role aโ€™la Tmac, even if not as goodโ€ฆ yet.
  9. Bern saying this about Viney all year perfect for finals and the GF dance.
  10. G'day Rab, thanks for the hello, I assume from the likes to your post, more than one was interested so will reply here and not on PM. I work as the Operations head for the UN World Food Programme (https://www.wfp.org/countries/sudan) , which basically means professional garbage sweeper. Whenever there are dramas with our operation (generally vibrations between our Programme and Logistics units or Government interference) I gather the folks together and we either sing Kumbayah or crack heads together, whatever folks choose. Have worked in lots of countries (East Timor/Kenya/Somalia/PNG/Italy/USA/Sierra Leone/Ghana/Uganda/Ethiopia/Sweden/Germany+++) I did a trip to Meroe and it was very cool, sunset, a full moon and sunrise with the pyramids amongst the sand dunes was way cool, felt like i was on a starwars set. there are also temple ruins not too far away that are ultra impressive for detail. Glad you ask about the railway, quite proud of that, we (WFP) are fixing it, we did Port Sudan to Kosti (so freight can go now from Port Sudan to Kosti then by Barge to south Sudan. Now the old rรฉgime (Bashir) is on the outer, we don't have a bunch of @#$^$%& generals forcing us to use their trucks for transport and we can support the rehabilitation of rail, good for so many reasons, including environmental. We now have a 80 million dollar project to fix connections to Gedaref, the Darfurs and eventually South Sudan. Re Wadi Halfa the train is not regular but will be getting better. The first operation for WFP (#001) was actually feeding people dislocated by the Aswan dam and relocated to Wadi Halfa. will stop there as this is a mighty derail (sorry) of the thread, replies for more detail please PM. Re what's it like, the people are brilliant, a level of hospitality and honesty that has to be seen to be believed, if you only watched CNN you'd never understand how brilliant people usually are. It is also hot and dusty and often tragic. The alcohol ban is mega annoying, but I specialize in logistics. I enjoy my job which helps, recently working on the Tigrayans displaced from the civil war in Ethiopia, setting up food supply and distribution to some remote spots.
  11. Agree with all this, and was going to ask what you thought of Taylor but you finished it off nicely.
  12. Taylor owned Hawkins and is to the eye, 10kg+ lighter, that was a serious game by him. I also watched Hawkins do half a dozen dirty things to try and put him off. Was sitting CDG Paris waiting for my flight back to Sudan (would rather be in Melbourne believe me) and had nothing to do so watched the game. I was very impressed with how excited they were about the win as well.. Just sad we don't pound the cats next week, they will be very sore [censored] after tonight.
  13. Real gold there. Loved how the giants banged up the Cats, very good for us.
  14. Personally I am hoping 2018 PF still burns and that the club has had this one pencilled in all year. This is the one I want more than any other in the H+A season. This gets us 2nd or 3rd and the perfect drop into the finals. (Adelaide etc)
  15. I would rather trade you for a Collingwood supporter
  16. Trengove was an injured gun, not a NQR like Toumpas.
  17. St Kilda and Freo, feel good factor but not a real serious threat.
  18. WCE, Port, Carlton, Suns, Richmond and Collingwood, Clarko is spoilt for choice, hahhahahaha
  19. 3min left 10 pts, really hate WCE, happy for Roos to win.
  20. Agree - He hits targets with handball more than some of the mids.
  21. Love it when someone can be polite about a player, even if they don't rate them, thanks. I went and reviewed his highlights from last season because of your comment, and while there is not a lot of footage of ground work, (so you may have something there), his pickup from the ground while running seemed pretty flexible to me, however I have seen him lay some heavy tackles, and think he's braver than Joe Daniher. With what he could do in 2020 and the quality of his kicking (which has stood up over time) I would say one more season. If he was 5cm shorter I would agree with you however.
  22. I could have just agreed with you as well, makes my post redundant.
  23. Albert Einstein is widely credited with saying, โ€œThe definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again, but expecting different results.โ€ What to do with Sam?, with such a lovely kick and big frame, I was firmly of the opinion that he was a Full Forward (looks like a duck, walks like a duck etc). On ample exposed form that is not the case, now instead of getting sad about that, and what he can't do, I am hoping the footy department looks at the tools he does have, and goes to work over summer and builds a new role for him. Not that I am saying he is close to Buddy, but remember Buddy has never been good as a high marking FF and had 'iron hands', not too many are worried about that. In many ways SW is an alternate to Tmac and not BBB, and TMac is not going anywhere. Tmac has also clearly struggled as the FF and is much better in the roaming forward role. But depth is important for every position. Sam has a good attitude, has a heart, lovely kick, can run, can tackle, and currently has a mid range tank. It is worth the effort to retool him for a role up the ground or even defense. I would not be trading him, give up on the FF role, and explore what else he can do, I reckon he would be up for it, and we will have injuries. I still think he has more upside than say Joel Smith due to his size.
  24. Yeah yeah (-; aged about as well cold McDonalds... Great result for Dees
