Strange feeling tonight. Five years ago we were a basket case Then JS and CS came in as a team to save the club The debt was extinguished and the rebuild of the team started. We had lots of early draft picks and the way ahead looked good. Now here we are in a worse spot than before they started. Sadly the dream died a year or two ago. I saw that the only way forward was for CS and DM to go. The first half has happened and the second will probably happen before 2013 is over. But tonight I feel nothing but sorrow. How could such a noble and worth cause end this way? Life sometimes really is a s--- sandwich.

Agree but it is now way past that.

Just trying for a little light relief Satyriconhome. I wish I had any volume of hair but not sure that has much to do with it. Personally I do not care where CS has tattoos or if he has any for that matter. As for our humour meters don't know of too many on high at present.

It is for most of us a small joke in a very tough time Hardtack. Enjoy the 95% of the fun on this thread. Not a lot going around at the MFC thses days.

You are the club house leader at this stage DemonWA

Finally, some attention on our biggest under performer

Yes too late now the only upside would be the salary space created. He is off anyway lets concentrate on a replacement. -
Heard a good joke on the radio this morning. " I was walking through the MCG park land this morning and I saw a Melbourne member nailing his membership to a tree outside gate 3. So I took it you never know when you might need a good nail" Now laugh guys it is a joke I think!

A CLUB IN CRISIS ... THE AFL MUST STEP IN
old dee replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
So by extension does that mean you have to stay with someone who is not good enough? Now I say that in a general sense leaving the MFC out of it. -
I am going to stop here neither of us want a slanging match certaining not me. I will reply to two things. I was not suggesting you fawn I was saying I don't fawn. We all read into any comment what we want to see. The membership numbers are not the major events of my life just made a small joke with H-T. Now lets get on with returning The Dees to a competitive unit.

You make a lot of sense Bush demon but I cannot see it happening. Too many egos on both side to climb over. I believed at the time he was the man for us. But it is now ancient history

Satriconhome contrary to what you may think I am no lackey of RR. I form my own opinion and then give it. If it has elements the same as someone else so be it. I don't cast aspersions at you because I don't agree with some things you say. However I do take a large and strong offence at you suggesting I am happy if things at the MFC get worse. How on earth can you come to that conclusion. Just because I don't fawn over everything the Current administration do does not mean I enjoy their failures. I have to go to the same games as you and watch the crap we have had this year and for the last three. Give me a bloody break I love this Club and want nothing but success. I will stop now before I say something I will regret.

Wonder if he managed to get the right size one?

I am surprised H_T and this will sound like sour grapes. Are they taking off the members who have sent back their memberships? Yes I know no one has!

I agree UH I keep saying the same thing. We have a poor list there are about a dozen out of 40 that are AFL standard. You cannot pull up your socks if you don't have any on. IMO it is that simple.

Another article , why let facts get in the way of a story
old dee replied to Satan's topic in Melbourne Demons
I think we have flogged to death the examination of each player Satyriconhome. The simple facts are IMO that we have a very ordinary list. The Current management over a five period have bought us to this point. Excuses were acceptable in 2007,8,9,10,11,12 It is now 2013 and we are far worse than in 2007. Life can deal a s--- sandwich sometimes but in the end you have to pass the batten on to someone else. IMO that should happen very soon. Finally I am not going away because you don't agree with me. We have different opinions but surely we are allowed to belong to the same club. Enjoy the day improvement will start soon -
They are not running clubs that are currently irrelevant to the competition. The buck stops at the top.
