A CLUB IN CRISIS ... THE AFL MUST STEP IN
old dee replied to Range Rover's topic in Melbourne Demons
I do not agree with your last line rpfc. This administration is going to hang on till they are forcible removed. That will be a blood bath at years end. IMO the AFL is exactly what we need because we have clearly demonstrated we cannot run a club over the last five years. IMO it is the only way it can be done without creating increased friction Among all MFC members -

old dee replied to Pitchy's topic in Melbourne Demons
You forget this not Neeld,s first two games. They are his 23 and 24th. Leaving that small problem aside When is the time? . -

You are right He was VP before the CS disaster He was VP when 186 happened He was VP when the tanking was going on. He was Pres when we surrendered to tanking He was Pres when we recruited Neeld and this FD He was Pres in 2012 when we won effectively one game He was Pres when we recruited most of this poor list. He was Pres we when lost the first two games of this season by an average loosing margin of 19 goals Yes you are correct he cannot win

Why RR do I need more pain? -

I am finding it hard to disagree. -
History has shown that as soon as a Board /Chairman /CEO says a coach is safe that means his time is fast running out. The only reason these people say that is because he is in a very poor position. Otherwise why is there a need to give their support? Another big loss next weekend and a loss the week after to GWS and he will be gone IMO

And me too Redleg Not even Bananas help at present. I am taking a rest from the bloody MFC It is ruining my life.

I agree RB. Too hard for me at present. There is more to life than the pain created by the MFC -

Has Neeld ever had them? -
Well Jones bag I hope you don't go however I know how you feel. I could not front next weekend. In my 54 years of watching the Dees I have seen some poor teams but I have never seen one That is not competitive IMO 187 could easily be next weekend. And if it is not wait till Hawthorn, Swans, or Collingwood games. It is now for me too painfully to attend MFC games. Going to the football is supposed to be fun, watching the Dees is extreme pain. Spent yesterday afternoon ( a Birthday Party ) with a old Mate who is the Financial Director of the Williamstown Amateur team. He has convinced me to come along to their first couple of games. Says he left the AFL ( Dogs ) a couple of years ago and now enjoys his football. Sounds good to me I am off next weekend. Mix that with a few Uni Blacks games and that is probably where my football will be the next couple of months. Lets see if enjoyment returns to my weekend football during winter.
