  1. May have been a perfect storm sue but what I learned from 2019 is that a number of the players who looked promising in the last 6 weeks of 2018 were ordinary / not senior level talents once the better players were not around them. E.g. The Weid mediocre, Spargo could not even look good at Casey this year. We have too many holes in our list to be better than 7-8th if things go our way.
  2. Macca I would have said more a miracle than a decent ask imo. That looks like a two year change not one.
  3. Your last para says it all.
  4. Where's the fun in that Sue?
  5. In 2018 we had an easy draw and had 50 goals from Hogan. At the end of July we had not beaten one team in the eight. We then had a purple patch over the last six weeks. That six weeks we had the return on AVB who made a noticeable difference . Come the Preliminary we saw how good we really were. Come this year we had a draw that was harder, a long list of injuries to important player, no goals from Hogan and we finished second last. IMO our 2018 finished faltered us but we are not as bad as this year. That brings me to 2020 still no 50 goal forward to replace Hogan and AVB probably won't play much then add a FD that is "maybe" , a number of the better 2018 players are now gone or on their last ( Jones, Hibbert, Lewis ) and I can see nothing that will mean we can improve beyond 8- 10. Zero chance of making a GF let alone winning one.
  6. Sadly I think you are 100% correct , we are better than this years result but a Premiership threat we aren't.
  7. Firmly shut we currently have holes on and off field you could drive a truck through. If things go our way we might fall into eighth place. I watched the weekends games, the teams involved had a number of players who turned the result. we have no one who could turn the result of a high pressure final. The two teams on Saturday have multiple key forwards who are can kick 4-5 goals we have one average KPF. Lots of work needed to be a credible finalist let alone win a GF.
  8. Very good Mr. Shadow
  9. And you have no chance of winning.
  10. Sounds like you either are not in the system or they have your email address wrong. Stop complaining and check.
  11. Could be the reverse RB, if they had won the flag he would be a premiership player and could then look to build up hi super somewhere else. Now if he stays at the Pies he could win a flag over the next couple of years. If he leaves for the second bottom team a flag is a remote chance. Take the two year deal and win a flag seems a better option to me.
  12. Hardly a contest I would like to win dieter. My God I am old.
  13. I up dieter by two Started in 1959.
  14. Oh no please the Pies have been duding us for decades with their cast offs.
  15. Whatever the reason Me.Leg how good was it to see the Pies lose by 4 points and drop out of the GF?
  16. Agree binman but never forget you cannot keep everyone happy. Some supporters will always want instant action even though it is only early September.
  17. Your last para says it all. Spot on.
