Interesting after receiving the email on monday re what I want with my membership pack I rang the club to see what colour the Scarf will be. If it is maroon ( as in 2011 ) instead of red I was going to say keep mine and save the money ( this was one of the options ) But alas no one could tell me what shade of red the scarf would be in 2012. In fact no one had any idea on the scarf design or colour it would be. So I punted to receive a scarf in the hope it will be Red and Blue. This is one area IMO where the club has a long way to go. Over the last couple of years we have had Pink jumpers, Maroon scarfs, Stickers that fad to grey before the first game. Why are we the only club in the league that cannot get all our merchadise in the same red colour. Fire up guys our performance in the merchandise area has been poor.

I am struggling to see what they will learn, seems the same as playing for the Dees in 2011 lots of big losses! Brad must think he is cursed!

Well I am celebrating finally we have someone who is not a choir boy! I am struggling to care on Nov. 1st. How he plays in Game 2 is all I am concerned about and he is not playing against the Irish so no injuries there. Not sure what all the fuss is about if it was Feb 1st I could understand all the hand wringing.

I won't be but they can always make it a friday night game it a miracle happens.

I read that somewhere a week or two back Nuggets. In the media nothing surprises me. I actually don't mind Eddie, I am debating the worth of Foxtel at the moment. Have had it before but bailed out a couple of years back. But cannot see the Dees being on 7 very often. Might have to get it to see away games in 2012.

Agree withn you Nasher however I have some big doubts. This is because he cannot handle a close tackler. We need him badly he is one of the few older players that is capable of lifting us.

I am trying hard not to take the bait on your behalf RobbieF. But not tonight. Well may be not. Surely it has to be a mixture of now and the future. If it is 100% future the MFC will fail to exist in 5 years time. However I have more faith in this FD. Why did we recruit clark ? I think for 2012.

IMO DC it is totally dependant on how we do in the first five games of the year. However I think 40K is close to the upper limit of Dees fans who will sign up. Again IMO for us to get much over 40K we will need 3 seasons of sustained success. WE need first time members that will only arrive when we start winning 75 -80% of our games. I would like to think we could win 70% next year. But alas I think that is a pipe dream, 55% would be a good number in 2012. 38868 is my number if the first few matches go well.

No. His head is not in the right space. The dees of old would recruit this type in the hope of a new attitude. If 3 different coaches at North could not get him better why do we need to try. Keep the spot for kid who is busting a gut to play.

Deeoldfart you are more generous than me. I doubt he will make it. Has had IMO half a dozen good games in his 4 years ( 26 games ) at the Dees. 2012 is put up or shut up time. The AFL is a cruel world we need his spot on the list for someone who can make it onto the park most weeks.

I understand the principle Nutbean and now we have Clark who can play round 1, 2012 I am a bit ambivalent about cook. Now seems too far off too worry about. From someone who does not have an avatar whats with the cat? Prefer the previous one.

Every game was on saturday afternoon, including windy hill, fitzroy, Arden street, the lake oval, footscray, hawthorn, Collingwood at collingwood and I think Richmond moved to the MCG in 65. And if my memory is correct they used to televise the last quarter of games live. And that is not to forget the night GF series played at South Melbourne, if they kicked the ball too high it went out of site. I seem to remember the Dees winning a couple of those. I can handle not going to most of those old grounds, so somethings do improve over time.

In My Humble Opinion WYL I always enjoyed "The Magic Bus" a lot more than MG. Arh great years for music even if the Dees were crap.

Do you still need the rain? has been dry over there for years. I cannot help myself but I have said enough about you know who till april 2012. Lets hope they are play better under the new FD in 2012.
