No more than I hate it WYL. What annoys me more is their condesending pity. "Never mind you are on the right track". "In 4 - 5 years you will have a good side" Get stuffed to them all. I want a large improvement in 2012 Even though I doubt it will happen. I want to be hated like the Hawks pure and simple.

I have never got off RobbieF but I like you have been done this track on too many occasions. After the debacle that was the 2011 season I am taking a much more cautious approach. Just taking things a little quieter. After round 12 when we are 6 and 6 and have avoided 31 goal losses I will get excited. Go Dees

You have my vote BB If the Dees failed to exist tomorrow morning I would drive straight to Waverley to sign up just like the kid you mention above. ( that is actually a lie I would give AFL away but you get the drift )

We will have the same basic cattle as 2011, we could only beat the bottom third of teams. And got slaughtered by the rest If we get to 10th at the end of 2012 I will be deliriously happy. This could go on forever Deemort. I hope you are right. Go dees

Ron with the same deal I believe Hale would have gone to the Hawks
-
Hope you are right Grimes and his injuries worries the crap out of me.

A little Grace would not kill you mate.

Whitito it is not that hard. Hawthorn have been a top 4 team for the last 30 years, they have won flags and seldom been poor. The are tough and succesfull. Right now they are top 4 and were 1 goal away from a GF. The Dees are 13th with a average list and a poor reputation. Which team would you choice to play for? Until the dees get into a similar positon we will always run second to clubs like Hawthorn. Success breeds success and attracts the best.

Me too Redleg, I am so glad this has happened, I was worried we had another Jnr. situation on our hands. He has been at the club a long time and never given anything less than 100%. Hope he gets close to 2010 form in 2012 55 goals in 2012 would see us move up the ladder

I would agree with all except Powell. We got our money's worth out of him IMO.

Tim Harrington's cautious approach to the mini-draft
old dee replied to Supreme_Demon's topic in Melbourne Demons
Why, you might think you know. But what you be saying if we had not made a play and discovered they offered less than we were prepared to offer. You would calling for his head and quite rightly so. This is an auction you have a limit and when that is exceeded you walk away. I have no problem with that. -
DM I think Warnock was better than the way he was treated this year. But he has been universally bagged by most people on demonland and canned by the MFC FD. So that indicates he has little currency. Have not heard of 5 clubs busting down our doors to get him. I am not being a smart arse but who do you think the five clubs are?

Sad but true nutbean

until round 1
-
Yes we may need to have our quarter and three quarter time huddles at the Richmond ground and then jog back
-
Sounds like just the guy we need!
-
My concern is the hawks tradtionally don't give much away. They have a preputation for getting good players and giving away average players or ones past their prime. If they want to trade Lisle I am instantly on guard.
-
The problem with this nutbean is you have to have muscle to flex it. I think he was treated badly last season but If he cannot get a game at a side that finishes 13th and gets beaten by 31 goals then he cannot be much good. GC are not that silly. They know there is not much interest elsewhere, unfortunately I think we will get a fourth round pick or an upgrade that we will probably not use. Anyway I hope it all works for Warnock and he enjoys the GC.
-
Me too Roost it. Recruiting is going to be difficult for anyone other than GC and GWS over the next few years. We have a couple of good picks re TS and we should use them wisely. they will IMO be very valuable in 2012 -13.

Who is giving up on 2012. I have just said we will not make hugh gains. You can only see blue sky, I see some clouds. Only an opinion, I am more than happy to be wrong. But a lot of experience with the MFC tells me it seldom happens.

One slight difference they had very bad injuries to most of their senior players in 2010.

With all that in the bank who needs to go?
-
Pity none of them are going to run out next year!

I find that hard to believe.
