  1. Jetta tracking at 78% DE is proof that that statistic is almost irrelevant
  2. Roos better be giving them a proper spray. Now is not the time for calm.
  3. Yeh I don't think there are any stats that reflect how good Brayshaw looked last year. But that pass to Jeff on QB That goal against North... He can do things Oliver can't. (And vice versa of course) I think it's a tad early to decide who is the better player of the two.
  4. Yeh this is what doesn't make any sense to me. A pick in the 20s for a player who could potentially walk for nothing seems more than fair. It just seems like the bombers are bringing a knife to a gun fight if the want to play hard ball on this one. Does anybody know why we are (apparently) planning on negotiating a trade in the first place?
  5. All of a sudden, none of our wins this year seem that impressive. A couple of our losses have been very ordinary. One loss in particular was a disgrace... Despite the talent and potential on the list, this year is actually shaping up to be quite ordinary. We haven't done anything special. We blew it today. Adelaide were miles off their best and we couldn't get the job done. Finals? Get stuffed! Still plenty of work to do.
  6. Really? You choose to start this thread today? Your "calling it now"?
  7. Tom Lynch smacks Laidler in the guts - fine. Ceglar throws an elbow to the face of Hogan - 1 week. You think Tom Hawkins is feeling a bit hard done by...?
  8. I wish this post gathered more legs...
  9. My issue with Etihad isn't the fact we don't win there. That's our problem to deal with. The issue I have with playing games at Etihad is with the stadium itself. It is a soulless, concrete monstrosity.
  10. So far this year: Goals: Frost - 2 Pedersen - 2 Hitouts: Frost - 1 Pedersen - 15 I think it's definitely possible for Dawes to work his way back into the team...
  11. “He (Roos) reckons I’ve text him 40 times a day, which is not true. I’ve probably text Goody (Simon Goodwin) 40 times a day. It’s just me trying to get into the team to be honest,” he said with a smile. Love him already
  12. In 2014 he polled 11 Brownlow votes (9 of them coming from 3s). We won 4 games the entire season... Sunday night it all started coming back to me, just how much ability and potential this guy has.
  13. Ahh yes Townsend and Morris - the 'tough guys'... When push comes to shove, who would you rather in your corner? Nathan jones or Trent Cotchin?
  14. He keeps this form up, he'll be considered a whole lot more than a 'smokey' for the Brownlow
  15. Yeh it was a cheap shot and Bernie would be well aware that he has let the club down. But honestly, there's a part of me that kind of enjoyed it. Obviously there is no courage involved in an act like that and I wouldn't want to see it happen again anytime soon. Also, his bump on Ziebell - savage. Vince clearly didn't set out to make any friends yesterday and that is fine by me.
  16. Excluding the first quarter, THAT is the intensity we must bring to every, single game. It is the standard that'll see us win the next 3 in a row.
  17. What a great reply to a great OP
  18. I think we are more than justified in having a 'victim mentality'. This club has just burned us that many times and for over such a long period of time that it's only natural to be so... Emotional? Angry? Both? It looked like they had finally put together a team that was gunna have a genuine crack, every single game. That's what Roos promised us at the start of the year. So yeh, again, you damaged our trust on the weekend dees... (sorry to drift from the hogan talk. I'm 2 beers down and venting like this is therapeutic.)
  19. Yep, you're spot on. All things said and done, for the kind of coin he's on, we should at least have a coach that doesn't say things that just boggle the mind. Only time will tell just how big of a legacy Roos is going to leave behind. I'm confident it'll be profound and important. But again, I still have my doubts. People say the MFC has lost the trust of it's supporters and that is just so true.
  20. If you had of told me at the start of the year we'd even be having this conversation, I wouldn't have even been surprised. There's always this doubt I have in my mind that Melbourne is just never going to go anywhere. Roosy reckons the players are 'mentally scarred'. I think there might be a couple of us supporters who certainly are.
  21. God that was hard to read. Only because I completely get where you're coming from
  22. They consistently find new ways to disgust me. I really don't even know what to say. I'm going to bed.
  23. Great post up until the last paragraph. There is no way in hell that King is capable of making such an astute observation.
  24. Hogan is a temperamental sook. Grow up. He should've signed when he had the chance.
