  1. Hmm.... Jones is mostly vocal when he want teammates to pass the ball to him. And what’s happened to all the tackles he used to apply? Hodge reads the game like a chess master. No wonder the Lions now look so well drilled and organised.
  2. Viney tries hard but overwhelmed by injuries and lack of skills. Jones 3 tackles in his past 5 games says it all.
  3. Good to see Brisbane challenge for top spot. Sadly they are where I expected us to be at this stage of the season. Hopefully it a blip for us but just as likely a firmly shut window. Only took them one year to launch out from the depths whilst we have been yo - yoing for years. Like how many years ago did Roos start the rebuild?
  4. Best junk time footy I have seen from us all season.
  5. And only 2 tackles from the last five games.
  6. 4 easy set shots directly in front missed say it all.
  7. Collingwood would be highly motivated this week. They should win easily. For us the only question is to how many quarters we will turn to play? Perhaps one I guess.
  8. I wasn’t impressed with Maccas work at the Bulldogs and things look no different over here. Appears to be divisive and polarising figure. Then again he has had to work with some prime Prima Donnas who are very highly paid but of ordinary output. There are others who’s influence are questionable. Sometime I compare Viney Snr to a Connolly type. The rot extends to the core of our administration.
  9. Joeboy - Mentally checked out. MFC - Mentally checked out.
  10. I might bet the house on a Collingwood win. That way I can be sure I am part of the winners circle next weekend.
  11. Clearly there is no will to finish the season on a high. Players mentally checked out 5 weeks ago but they never really checked in 6 months ago. They play like they should for the first half but there is no incentive to fight the game out. We have little to play for unlike our opposition. A token effort for the most part keeps some supporters onside. I still believe our list is good but the culture really sucks along with ineptitude from the coaches and management. I’ll just keep on dreaming and look forward to the bounce back next season. This season has been a disaster and contrition and atonement expectations on and off the field are very high for next season.
  12. 20 disposals, 10 kicks, 10 hand passes at 80% DE.
  13. What good sex? That would have been in 1964.
  14. We denied Richmond a huge percentage boost. They will pay for it.
  15. Little Rioli busts out of a weak tackle attempt by Jones.
  16. Viney only attacks the ball, Jones cruises the outside for the easy lay off. Both played a pathetic second half.
  17. We are doing well aside from maggot infestation. Good to see players hitting up targets rather than bombing inside 50. Big question is can we not fall away in the last quarter as we have done last three rounds?
  18. Bombers must have also suspended their supplements program this week.
  19. I had a dream we won tonight. Does this mean I am a passionate rusted on supporter or just plain out of touch with reality?
  20. He, she or it was downright creepy.
  21. Brown is no good for us. He won’t get many free kicks in the red and blue.
  22. Won their last five games by an average of 45 points. Might increase to 60 points after Saturday.
  23. Not sure if a trend but often when we jump out of the blocks, start trashing the opposition and score heavily for about ten minutes we then proceed to fall apart. Has happened quite few times in the past few of years. The saints this season as well Adelaide and Port. Last season it was the Saints again and Hawthorn. GWS did to us the previous season as well as few more I can’t remember.
  24. Prime time again at the colosseum on Saturday night. Not the usual gladiator vs gladiator contest tonight but hungry tigers vs slaves armed with toothpicks and marinated with juicy percentage. And Spartacus is out with a groin injury.
