A bit unfair on Luke Breust. Consistent over the past four years. Premiership player. Averages two goals a game as the 3rd or 4th forward. One of the best kicks for goal in the game. And over 50 goals this season so far. Your standards are way off the mark. Not hiding, delivering the goods instead.

And Dank should win his case and for settlement he gets a job as a TFS panel member. He has no other job prospects or means of support evident and has the required skills to fit into their philosophy. This will be a the ideal environment to forge a new career. And pigs do live in pig styes.

I would not be surprised if Roos has drawn a line with players that are not or were never a 100% commited to stay with us. Maybe not trying too hard to keep them no matter how good they are or could be. Better with a list that is all on the same page page.

If he was forced into the draft he would go deaf, dumb and blind and disapear like Luke Ball and still get to the pies for nothing. Make himself unavailabe for interviews and medical checks etc, No one else will go for him.

No surprise here. The verdict has been out for a long time now that he is the highest paid dud in the history of the game.

I would like to see him in a Ryan Crowley type role. This will best suit his talents IMO. As a defender he does not insipe confidence anymore. Aside from questionable disposal, he lacks the quickness of thinking to generate offensive elan from half back. And he is ceratinly not a forward or midfielder..

And they did self report to kick things off. He is just preaching to the faithful to keep them in the dark and stalling the inevitable revolt.

Seems like every second player getting votes in the first four rounds is suspended.

This has been happening for years. Important players always receive leniancy during finals. Easy to go tough in the GF with double penalties when no one cares anymore.

Not much changes. They may have to miss games next season and the new deal may not be so generous as now Essendon's empty threats ring hollow and the legal challenge has fizzled. They may have to put up with another wasted season before it is all over.

First post on this topic and I pigeon hole this sad episode to the era in the recent past where every recruiting gambit was a [censored] up on top of [censored] up. I am sure Vlad is the big silent winner here as is David Evans. Justice Middleton virtually dropkicked Hird's and Essendon's complaints about his and the AFL's conduct out of the park. The judge found no fault in the AFL's conduct other than being somewhat hasty to get the investigation over quickly. The media criticism orchestrated by Team Hird will fade away and be forgotten.
