Stef was a late comer to football being primarily a basket baller and not a natural footballer. He may have turned into a great player if he had the development and guidance offered at better clubs when he first started out.

I think Freo are taking this game as a slam dunk and resting some key players.

A shining ornament for the game and just as useful

According to the stats on the AFL app he had 10 possessions. Thats 10% better than you guys give him credit for.

Bombers scandal: charged, <redacted> and <infracted>
John Crow Batty replied to Jonesbag's topic in Melbourne Demons
Essendon apologists are also saying that it was unfair for Harcourt to say what he said because now everyone is speculating who the miscreants who were retired or rested temporarily might be. Another desperate attempt to muckefuck and deflect from the real issue. I cannot see how this can be a breach of confidentiality and privacy as no names or clubs were mentioned. This was said at an anti doping conference which is not for public consumption and where such issues should be discussed. And it was Essendon who made sure this once unknown speech was blasted all over the media so that now everyone knows and can speculate to their hearts content. -

Could it be the players want to stay out of the court case just in case they want to take the 6 month deal later? -
I live a leisurely 15 minute walk from the MCG. Always know when the filth are playing because their fans are the loudest.

Its strange how Tird has been so well hidden. I am surprised no one has spotted him overseas. No reported sighting of him since he left. And no sightings on social media that I am aware of. Where are the door stop journalists and paparazzi? -

What astounds me is how Essendon have conjured up such a powerful media and publicity campaign. There is some serious money, Influence and power there to take on the AFL and ASADA. No way we could match them in that respect. Scary but I hope they lose and crumble. -

I hope he will provide the full report from at this stage anonymous independent medical experts. I think not. He is starting to sound like an Ashley & Martin commercial. -
Official - We woz robbed against bullies

If we don't win enough clearances we are always on the back foot. Forced to take the hard road to goal, invite pressure and make more errors. Can happen to every team. Errors and dodgy umpiring are cop out excuses for the most part. We are the worst side for clearances. If we were more middle of the road in clearances or broke even more often I am sure we would have won three or four extra games. -

Or he could try the involuntary action defence caused by fear that he might one day end up like Matthew Knights. -
I found our performance against the bulldogs similar to the Essendon game. Smashed early, then made an unlikely comeback from a near impossible position. Something we had not done in recent memory. This time we lacked a little class and luck to finish off the job. It is a fantastic sign that we are now capable of keeping ourselves in a game when things are against us. My biggest issue is still our poor clearance work. Forget about the umpires and skill errors, we dominated when we had a purple patch of winning clearances in both games. And got trashed when we lost long sequences of them. If we could just break even on clearances we would have won easily. Biggest offenders are Jones and Viney as always who can get the ball but choose to try to bulldoze their way out of congestion rather than looking for the next option. Sometimes just a tap or knock on can be the better option if they can't break free. These bad habits have to be eradicated.

Jetta was great today. Knows how to win the tough ball. Wish we had another one of him playing forward.
-
Garland was just as bad as Frawley. Wasted year for him.

Win the bloody clearances.

Good to see our discarded players making something of themselves. He may be handy as a second hand spare parts player for a club in the premiership window just like Geelong did with Podsiadly. Big units that can score big bags are highly sought after. Obviously a late maturer. Lyndon Dunn took 7 years to play up to his potential. In the old days his career would have been finished but these days there is a market for mature older players who have a weapon. Perhaps not for us but would not be surprised if sides like Hawthorn, Geelong or Fremantle rookie Newton. Despite what some think here the SANFL is a strong second tier competition.
