Last season it happened at least three times. That was a serious abuse of the players "didn't come to play" allowance. Can't trust the players not to take advantage again.

I have a feeling of unreasonable confidence.

As long as umpires and the rule makers allow players to keep giving out cheap shots in marking contests known as " making him pay" is keeping the door open for these kind of incidents to continue to happen all too often. One day someone will be crippled or killed by an errant spoil.

Salem has slipped under the radar a bit till now. Most supporters have been patient with him. Just slightly better than an average player so far in his career. Playing nowhere near to his potential and has found himself at a cross roads of sorts.

Maybe Speedy Gonzales the fastest mouse in all of Mexico might know what it is.

MATCH PREVIEW AND TEAM SELECTION - Round 9
John Crow Batty replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
What are the odds that one or more of their spud forwards will kick bigger scores than Hogan? We will miss Jetta. If this Diamond Defence doesn't work again it will be an early Christmas for their clutching at straws attack. -
Looks simplistic this diamond setup and only works if we win substantially more clearance than the opposition. Logic would say the ball mostly goes left or right after a clearance before going forwards. Should a midfielder left dry on the fat side push back for extra coverage in case we lose the clearance because they likely wont get near the fall of the ball any way if the clearance is won?

Jetta gone for a week, Vince free to play.

Fairdinkum there was nothing in it. He got an accidental smack in the chops when he was trying to rough up Jetta when he wasn't looking. -

His only goal yesterday was in junk time. His four gettable misses earlier were all when we needed a goal to keep us in the game. His last miss ended up as a coast to coast turnaround that sealed our fate. He has to kick the pressure goals and that requires a reliable kicking action for long term sustainability as a key forward.

True an easy run but what are our chances of winning four in a row anytime in the near future? We have only beaten one of two we have played. Freo, Port and also Carlton could beat us easily with our fickle attitude ATM. Our record against those three sides has been woeful of late. No such thing as an easy run for us. We are our own worst enemies.
-
Kennedy has the added advantage he can really roost it. Hogan outside 40 is touch and go to make the distance from a set shot though on the run he has no problems.
-
If Carlton overtake us, no doubt there will be those who insist they had more talent..

Holding the ball / prior opportunity / incorrect disposal

Ask a magician. -
Tend to agree. Th dogs look like they can rotate their entire list and still play well. I am very concerned about the second half of the season if our finals window closes. Could be a disaster. Some drastic action has to be taken fixing up the defence before we run out of steam.

Garland - schwabovian nightmare persists. -
3 behinds from 4 shots when we were still in the game is not good enough. Today another opposition spud(Redpath) out scored him again.

This is 'show us the money' day.

This whole sage is now getting pointless and boring. Once the appeal is over, let's get back to normality. But I don't want to hear from Essendon and their media mouth pieces say they still did nothing wrong. An emphatic sorry admission what the club did that leaves no room for revisionism.

Funny watching him, body, arms and legs flailing about at all angles and then the ball suddenly pops out straight to a team mate. -

In WA, they are banana snobs. They think those small uninviting Carnarvon bananas are the only ones worth eating.
