  1. Only mice get to play at the cattery.
  2. Looking at the weather radar, the worst seems to be missing us. The odd drizzle every now and then. Keeping fingers crossed. An undermanned Carlton might play like they have nothing to lose. Hope the boys are switched on not like the cats yesterday.
  3. Please donโ€™t rain.
  4. BTW, the bummers have dumped Parish this week. Comparison is kaput.
  5. No need for such extreme measures. Better to cut off the offending hand. Make sure it never touches an umpire again.
  6. Pro wrestling these days has more credebilty than the AFL. They admit their fakery is scripted.
  7. Every few years the AFL reforms the disfunctional discipline and tribunal system. Only takes a few rounds into a new season to see nothing changes.
  8. He was quiet when Tmac was firing. But when Tmac slowed and tired after halftime Hogan took over. His kicking definitely has improved.
  9. Last round Ed 24 disposals, 2.1 goals, 13 tackles, 147 AF points, 1 maggot molest. We wonโ€™t miss him.
  10. Of course Iโ€™m happy but my ambitions and hopes for this club are higher than beating up strugglers.
  11. Until we can bag a couple of the stronger teams the doubts persist if we are the real deal or not. Some with their heads in the sand seem to have forgotten our losses to Hawthorn and Richmond already. Big tests coming up.
  12. They also forget Dunn had an AA season with us. Dunnโ€™s a veteran and retirement is near. We got Omac in his place who appears will be a great key defender for a decade or more to come. Plus we have Hibberd and Lever who will be around for a while and will provide far more value than Howe gave us. Collingwood are not going to build a premiership side with those two. Good luck to them to have found a good superannuation club and still being serviceable but if the old wonโ€™t go away then the new wonโ€™t come.
  13. Richmond momentum slipping.
  14. Ed Curnow to have a 1 week off for maggot molesting.
  15. While we keep on winning and playing reasonable we can afford to carry Weed as long as keeps trying hard. Reminds me of Omac. The weight of games played finally got him to click. Weed is not going to get better accumulating experience at half rate at Casey.
  16. Last season in hindsight looks like a dead cat bounce for the Bummers.
  17. Great win. The percentage boost now has put us up in the middle ranking of the group of rival teams battling for a finals spot. We have to repeat this against Carlton. Tmac was awesome and a lethal forward weapon. Should become a permanent forward. When down back in the 2nd quarter he twice kicked to dangerous positions for turnovers. One rebounded for a goal. Nibbler was great. Much improved. Petracca needs a stint at Casey to make way for Viney. Weed did some good things but still a work in progress. Fritsch and Harmes budding ball magnets.
  18. John Crow Batty replied to Demonland's post in a topic in Melbourne Demons
What I really hate is when players are into negotiating mode and co-incidently produce best career form. I hope this in not the case.
  19. Considering that we lost a finals spot by 0.5 percent last season, inability to finishing off opposition when we have the chance is a fair argument. It happened when we let the saints and Brisbane back in the matches late last season. Of teams currently on four wins we are 5th out of 6th of that lot for percentage. The other side of the coin is when we are off we let Hawthorn crush us and Richmond to turn a 19 point final quarter lead to 42 points. We sell low and buy high.
  20. Best game since he got necked against WC a couple of seasons ago. Was in everything.
  21. What disgusts me most are the efforts to paint Bomber as some sort of victim as was done with Hird. This guy is successful and wealthy. Yes he may have a personal drug problem but if he crosses that line to hanging around with hardened criminals and trafficking dangerous drugs for profit which are a cancer to society and destroys many lives he deserves to be cast away as a pariah and heaped all the scorn to go with it. I see the damage these vicious drugs cause every day when visiting nearby Victoria Street and know personally of many lives destroyed and lost. We are not talking about relatively harmless weed here.
  22. Lucky but still sad and it appears mostly just self harm at this stage. It could have been a lot worse. If his self radicalization was more extreme he might have lived up to his nickname.
  23. Yep, everyone shuts up and we may only hear anything different if the players when they all turn about 50 start developing some weird cancers, neurological or heart conditions. Pro wrestling rife with substance abuse for a long time has had an unusualy large incidence of premature deaths when wrestlers reach middle age. A truth that dares not speak its name perhaps.
  24. I am of the opinion Geelong were the lucky ones to get away with whatever. Essendon and Geelong, two sides of the same coin with one side laying on a dog turd.
