  1. Any injuries to the current midfield and he will be first choice back in.
  2. I always thought we should have drafted Oscar Pistorius. We would have less of these problems.
  3. The top banana is starting to look like within our reach....just!
  4. He was quiet when Tmac was firing. But when Tmac slowed and tired after halftime Hogan took over. His kicking definitely has improved.
  5. What I really hate is when players are into negotiating mode and co-incidently produce best career form. I hope this in not the case.
  6. Considering that we lost a finals spot by 0.5 percent last season, inability to finishing off opposition when we have the chance is a fair argument. It happened when we let the saints and Brisbane back in the matches late last season. Of teams currently on four wins we are 5th out of 6th of that lot for percentage. The other side of the coin is when we are off we let Hawthorn crush us and Richmond to turn a 19 point final quarter lead to 42 points. We sell low and buy high.
  7. Best game since he got necked against WC a couple of seasons ago. Was in everything.
  8. What disgusts me most are the efforts to paint Bomber as some sort of victim as was done with Hird. This guy is successful and wealthy. Yes he may have a personal drug problem but if he crosses that line to hanging around with hardened criminals and trafficking dangerous drugs for profit which are a cancer to society and destroys many lives he deserves to be cast away as a pariah and heaped all the scorn to go with it. I see the damage these vicious drugs cause every day when visiting nearby Victoria Street and know personally of many lives destroyed and lost. We are not talking about relatively harmless weed here.
  9. Lucky but still sad and it appears mostly just self harm at this stage. It could have been a lot worse. If his self radicalization was more extreme he might have lived up to his nickname.
  10. Yep, everyone shuts up and we may only hear anything different if the players when they all turn about 50 start developing some weird cancers, neurological or heart conditions. Pro wrestling rife with substance abuse for a long time has had an unusualy large incidence of premature deaths when wrestlers reach middle age. A truth that dares not speak its name perhaps.
  11. I am of the opinion Geelong were the lucky ones to get away with whatever. Essendon and Geelong, two sides of the same coin with one side laying on a dog turd.
  12. Look out Expert on board You should offer you're wll knowing services to club. Uh
  13. I would say this was Hogan’s best game so far on the back of steady improvement over the past year despite some setbacks. The things that really irked me in the past like sooky attitude, lack of pressure and wobbly skills are nearly all gone. Now an important cog in the machine and not a sideshow. Still needs work on set shots and injury concerns seem to crop up too often. But this could be his big breakout season.
  14. As with many’s things MFC, was too good to be true.
  15. If we follow the template of the past two seasons, it it not illogical to see Essendon, Carlton and perhaps Brisbane high up there.
  16. The whiff of stinky cheese here. And rats like cheese.
  17. I wonder what Geelong got away with?
  18. Reported that the raid was in connection to a recent drug bust in Geelong where three people were arrested.
  19. Club induced inertia prevented me from cancelling my auto renewal. People may bag casual not fully committed members but they are the ones that bring true riches to the club. Die hard supporters just keep the club away from oxygen support. We may lose up to ten thousand next season and perhaps another ten thousand bandwagon jumpers who would have joined if we we did make the finals.
  20. Yep, fluke, luck and opportunity generally happen with hard work. Luck can give you a generous shortcut though. Should have bought bitcoins when they were about 2 cents each. Was given the opportunity to buy thousands of them by a geek associate who used to fix my computers.
  21. Jack Watts has left the building and the bananapocalypse is coming. https://www.washingtonpost.com/national/health-science/bananapocalypse-the-race-to-save-the-worlds-most-popular-fruit/2017/10/06/bf1635ac-7d28-11e7-83c7-5bd5460f0d7e_story.html?utm_term=.42e9d46fbb25
  22. Arguably one could say Lever is the best and most advanced of that lot. The true number I pick. Players like Trac and De Goey need more maturity but are on the right trajectory.
  23. 2008 was a great draft. We blew picks 1, 17,19 and 35. Only got value with Jetta at 51.
  24. Seriously, when was the last time a player with his high stature and profile landed at the club? Must have been Jeff White two decades ago.
  25. Given our poor strike rate with first round picks, I think the deal is good assuming Lever lives up to his expected form and influence. “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush”. That proverb have never been more apt for our situation.
