Melk has been more consistent since coming over. His starts to the seasons have been slowish but gets better as the season progresses.

Be Patient with Lever
Hibberd is playing the role that Lever should be. But currently Hibberd is keeping him out of that role.

Melbourne at the tribunal/MRP 2018
Well it was Mathieson so he should be forgiven.

The Incredible Hulk - Jesse Hogan
I would say this was Hogan’s best game so far on the back of steady improvement over the past year despite some setbacks. The things that really irked me in the past like sooky attitude, lack of pressure and wobbly skills are nearly all gone. Now an important cog in the machine and not a sideshow. Still needs work on set shots and injury concerns seem to crop up too often. But this could be his big breakout season.

I remember when camps were fun and joyous occasions.

It’s the reality TV syndrome that’s taking over reality.

Looks like Adelaide Crows have their own camp issues and Taylor Walker, he of bad hair fame is chucking another wobbly. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/walker-furious-with-crows-pre-season-camp-leak-20180327-p4z6kw.html

If we lose the type of games when we go in as solid favourites like we have done consistently in the past couple of seasons it will happen and loudly too. Either nothing will change or we will be rid of that soft tag this season.

Good, I like it. Nothing like an early red hot poker up the khyber to remind the players that a good pre season hit up under no pressure means nothing. Like there’s talk we are a shoe in for the finals....gasp!

As with many’s things MFC, was too good to be true.

Fenceology Predicts the ladder
If we follow the template of the past two seasons, it it not illogical to see Essendon, Carlton and perhaps Brisbane high up there.

Reported that the raid was in connection to a recent drug bust in Geelong where three people were arrested.

2018 Membership Thread
Club induced inertia prevented me from cancelling my auto renewal. People may bag casual not fully committed members but they are the ones that bring true riches to the club. Die hard supporters just keep the club away from oxygen support. We may lose up to ten thousand next season and perhaps another ten thousand bandwagon jumpers who would have joined if we we did make the finals.

Yep, fluke, luck and opportunity generally happen with hard work. Luck can give you a generous shortcut though. Should have bought bitcoins when they were about 2 cents each. Was given the opportunity to buy thousands of them by a geek associate who used to fix my computers.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Arguably one could say Lever is the best and most advanced of that lot. The true number I pick. Players like Trac and De Goey need more maturity but are on the right trajectory.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
2008 was a great draft. We blew picks 1, 17,19 and 35. Only got value with Jetta at 51.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Seriously, when was the last time a player with his high stature and profile landed at the club? Must have been Jeff White two decades ago.

Welcome to Demonland: Jake Lever
Given our poor strike rate with first round picks, I think the deal is good assuming Lever lives up to his expected form and influence. “A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush”. That proverb have never been more apt for our situation.

The Importance of Jordan Lewis
I agree we should have been close or in the 4 but we choked all the games against bottom sides.
