Farewell Jesse Hogan
A first round pick and steak knives will do if that is what it takes. We don’t need another disrupted season.

An opportunity for hot dog manufacturers. I wonder if they cooked up a sausage sizzle for his lunch whilst there?

Hogan has toured the stunningly impressive Fremantle facilities. An experience money cannot buy. It will be love at first sight. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/reece-conca-joins-fremantle-jesse-hogan-tours-dockers-facility-20181005-p507ww.html

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Shame too many fans do.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Something happened during or right after the Swans game. He was at his sooky worst then. And the not so satisfactorily explained season ending injury and his disappearance from plain sight is suspicious. If Freo are interested in him then they perhaps are not concerned too much about his injury.

Good to see the Hogan circus finally leave town.

Every time I hear something about Hogan, Brendon Fevola crosses my mind. It’s like an ear worm that won’t go away. And Fevola hasn’t played for a long long time.

1964 memories- calling our older supporters
The old valve radios had a beautiful mellow sound.

1964 memories- calling our older supporters
In 1964 we were living in Powlett St, East Melbourne opposite the MCG, I was 8 years old. The family moved from Collingwood earlier that year. I was already a Melbourne supporter and Barassi was my favourite player. We never went to the games as my dad had to work at the nearby brewery but listened on the radio. A highlight was most Saturday’s when there was a game on my brother and I used to sit on the fence and watch the crowd. I remember hordes of fans passing our front wrought iron fence with their coloured scarfs, beanies and floggers coming up from the Victoria St tram going to and and leaving the games. Richmond still played at Punt Road though so there were always a majority of Melbourne colours parading by most games. After the GF a delirious drunken Melbourne supporter in a suit and fedora hat gave us a two pound note which was small fortune for us then. That’s my memory of the game. A lifetime has gone by since then.

Too many dreamers thinking Cerra is trade material. Like us trading Viney or Oliver after their first season.

Andrew Brayshaw forgives Gaff https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/brayshaw-forgives-remorseful-gaff-for-sickening-punch-20180809-p4zwm0.html

Thanks for the correction.

Not surprising really. The West Australian is another one of Rupert Murdoch’s newspapers of anything for a buck fake news.

Good to see Angus weigh in and say for the tribunal to just deal it with and then move on. Gaff will be suspended for remainder of the season IMO. Sounds like there will be no grudges from the Brayshaw’s and hopefully he comes to us next season. WC’s defence of Gaff is just slobery sucking up in an attempt to keep him.

6 to 8 years for manslaughter.

I got king hit once on the footy field in my short career. Suffered a broken nose and a cracked wrist when I fell. The culprit later apologised and we got on fine after that. Everyone’s different but who knows how this will pan out.

Just give him his 10 weeks and move on.

Gaff would have to make his peace with the Brayshaw family and to secure Angus’s forgiveness and blessing for Gaff to come here. Years ago Tony Lockett playing for the Saints decked and injured badly Peter Caven from the Swans. Next season Lockett went to the Swans and Caven was not happy, asked for a trade and went to the Crows. The diffence is Gaff is not known for thuggery as Lockett was.

Then the AFL should double his penalty to send a message to supporters and players that laud this kind of behaviour.

Mark Neeld
Lyon, Malthouse and Eade. Freo, Carlton and GC must be happy with their contributions...not. I don’t think any of those guys would have done better than Neeld. They would have added their own spin on disaster. Too much air had to be cleared out from the top.

Neeld: I should have given older players more time to prove themselves ugh!
