Nietschke out for the season
I don’t think he needs those books. Looks like the kind of guy that would be philosophical about his situation.

Quick-fire with Preussy
I can see the addition of Preuss is also to add some muscle to support Gawn when required. Far too many times Gawn being a pure ball player had to battle on copping unfair dirty treatment from some opposing ruckman.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION: Melbourne vs Richmond - JLT 01
Trying to think of a suitable Batman villain moniker for Pruess. Given his size he must be King Tut.

POST MATCH DISCUSSION: Melbourne vs Richmond - JLT 01
A good practice game hitout. Entertaining and high scoring despite appalling conditions. One thing that was obvious was that Richmond are better at maintaining structures and teamwork. We were sort of a dogs breakfast for the most. Poor disposal is a bugbear for some of our best still. Some players appeared not quite ready or suffered from the heat. Tmac especially. I was OK with Pruess. If he can click he will be a monster. Still raw and room for improvement. Not ready to lead as a No 1 ruckman but could cause all sorts of mayhem teaming up with Gawn. Oliver and Harmes look like an awesome combination.

Spargo needs more depth in his kicking
Quickness of mind and sublime ball use more than adequately compensate for any lack of kicking depth. If he can get up an extra 5 possessions a game he will be an awesome weapon and worth a couple of extra goals for the team every game.

Illicit Drug Use in AFL
Brian Lake now receiving treatment for mental health issues linked to being recently charged with aggravated burglary, unlawful assault, trespassing, criminal damage and stalking. https://www.theage.com.au/sport/afl/brian-lake-receiving-treatment-for-ongoing-mental-health-challenges-20190228-p510x0.html

Out Best 22 Imports
How about Alastair Clarkson? I’d put him on the bench or coach.

Herald Sun 2019 Predictions
Seriously with the last three premiers being dark to very dark horses as well as Collingwoods appearance in the GF that was in no ones dreams, predictions for this season are a waste of time and a lottery at best.

New Leadership Group includes Neville Jetta
Nev is so good, honest, strong, miserly and reliable that he also now has a new car brand named after him. A name reflecting all the right qualities. https://jalopnik.com/jetta-is-its-own-car-brand-now-1832895235

Plough: 3 Issues Dees Need to Overcome
Whatever his faults, Wallace is a very good tactician and analyst of clubs strengths and weaknesses.

Riewoldt rates Hogan as better forward than TMac
My favourite Nick Riewoldt career highlight. Great captains start to a Grand final and set the tone for a stirring performance. Shame it was against the pies. https://youtu.be/OJ8jU7zgUVE

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I have discussed this with some long time Jewish friends who love the show. There are mixed reactions and many older generation ones love the show. Younger ones who have some knowledge of the show think it is abhorrent. This kind of humour does not play well in modern times.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I believe the guy who played the Gestapo Major Hochstetter was also Jewish as well as numerous other minor characters in the show. It is strange to think now that all those actors who were directly impacted by the holocaust could in a relatively short time afterwards be willing to be involved in a comedy about Nazis. Could never happen these days.

GAME DAY - AFLX Scratchings Match
Congratulations to the AFL for demonstrating that a sows ear can be made from a silk purse.

Fox Footy's 2019 Top 8 Predictions
Really excited about this season but I hope the club bans the players from taking baths. We also have to break the current trend of premiers coming from clubs never seriously expected to win the flag.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Problem is too many posters believe all the crap we hear. No one should ever take seriously any comments coming from club officials on delicate topics. They are protecting the club but is not ours to blindly accept untruths. The media won’t ask leading and probing questions if they don’t smell a rat. Merry Christmas.

Get her to sign up for The AFLW. For the Dees of course.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
If he was a candidate for one of these elite professions I mentioned he would be weeded out because he would let personal issues and personality affect his work. We are talking about him being an elite footballer at the pointiest end and not a Bunnings greeter here. All too often, character and external issues appear to affect his game. He does remind me of Fevola or Matthew Richardson in that regard.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Hey, lost my father due to cancer when I was only a few years older than Jesse, My brother also lost his wife to cancer leaving him to look after two young children alone. My uncle who was a well known artist lost his only child due to Leukemia.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
Every one handles difficult situations differently. There is no doubt about his enormous talent. If he had potential to be an elite commando, jet pilot, astronaut or any other elite skill, extreme high performance job he will never make make it. He would not be made of the right stuff as they would say. If he can’t externalise outside issues from his game he’s never going to be the elite footballer he has promised to be. Elite footballers at the top of their game can externalise private issues and consistently perform at the highest level.

Farewell Jesse Hogan
I suspect the sentiment was mutual. His antics were ugly that game.
