  1. Due to cost cutting measures, the orange juice was substituted with Frist?
  2. The comment that I initially responded to (indirectly) had no mention of a job, it was simply "You can't build a culture in 2 years , Roos knows that and so do you as for Clark the sooner he's delisted the better he's been a waste of 3,2 million ." Later when you folded under pressure and reconsidered your response, you stated they could tell him to retire and then offer him a job. However, as I stated, neither of us (or anyone else on here) know the true state of things, so we should just leave it to the MFC (which we have to anyway).
  3. He is doing his rehab! The club has stated as much in their comments regarding their continuing to work through his injury issues with him. You and I both have absolutely no idea whether he is finished or not, so perhaps we should let the MFC be the judge of that. I do find it funny that you criticise a poster for his views on Clark's value, suggesting that the club would fold in 6 months if he took the reigns, yet here you are suggesting we should dump players who are going through a bad trot with injuries and who have personal issues that are possibly in some way related. If you took the reigns at the club, we would eventually have no chance of attracting players and would have a lot of trouble retaining the players we do have... net result... we would eventually fold. Oh, and I was not questioning whether or not you had membership... I was questioning the way you view the club, the players and by association, the game.
  4. Don't worry Hood, if you go to Skoda and I go to Spotless, we will both end up at the same game... http://www.austadiums.com/stadiums/stadiums.php?id=115
  5. Who knows, they may even give us a few "sin credits" to make up for the excessive suffering we were put through in this life.
  6. I'll be ordering in a nice woodfired pizza, and ripping open a couple of sparkling ales, all in the comfort of my living room here in Sydney... at least this year I only have to wait until the 6th April before myself and my son can see them play at Spotless Stadium (Homebush) - free tickets already confirmed by MFC, so lets hope they were worth the money.
  7. Well, it already has over 500 likes (followers).
  8. Morose? I'm looking forward to the fact that I will no longer have to worry about taxes, bills, politics, or religion... but knowing my luck, there will be an afterlife and I will have all hell to pay for my past sins
  9. I see that someone has also set up a Mitch Clark Support page on Facebook.
  10. Great story Nutbean, and one that I can definitely relate to :-) I will see Kate Miller Heidke at the Byron Bay Bluefest next month over Easter... that festival is going to be a blast, check out the lineup as there's something for everyone and it definitely 'aint all blues... http://www.showticksecure.com/bluesfest2013/venuenet/_uploads/fckeditor/pdfs/playing_schedule.pdf
  11. Oh come on! It's not that bad up there is it?
  12. Me too... not that I'll still be around to see the fruits of his labours running around for the MFC.
  13. Or as Elvis Costello so eloquently put it: "imagination is a powerful deceiver". Hang tough GrandOld and Jazza.
  14. I think the issue there is that mjt considers himself as a shareholder (if he is a member, that is) as opposed to being a supporter.
  15. Seems my senile dementia is no longer creeping up on me; it's sprinting!... thanks
  16. Now that you mention it, I can't recall any official statement regarding that sponsorship on either the MFC or AFL websites and Roos certainly had nothing on his MFC shirt last night on AFL360. Was anything mentioned during the season opener dinner?
  17. Yes, I think that even with a forward line we would still have struggled against Hawthorn... in fact, most teams barring Freo will struggle against Hawthorn. I believe we have the backline and midfield to give us the power to go forward, enabling us to amass a winning score based on weight of numbers (of forward 50 entries) coupled with the law of averages :-)
  18. Can't say I feel the same way... yes, it's slightly disappointing, but I am now looking forward to seeing just how Roos adjusts his plan to compensate for this lack of forward line presence. Viney's absence I feel will be easily covered and we saw glimpses of how we can still kick (and defend) a winning score in the Richmond game, a feat that was almost replicated in the Geelong game.
  19. Based on an earlier assessment of yours, does this mean that Salem is now similarly doomed? "Firstly, for the poster that asked whether Toumpas was soft, or not the answer is no. Don't you guys have Foxtel ? Also, he captained SA at the championships. You don't make a soft player your state captain - unless your name is Bryce Gibbs. OK forget that last bit. McQueen: I'm very happy to have a quality big bodied inside mid at the club, but I'd prefer Toumpas purely because he's a better player." 20. Thanks Trav
  21. Well, the way things have gone at the MFC, that could well be the end of their careers.
  22. No, you won't know until the end of their careers.
  23. I think it is a bit wrong for people to be speculating on what his problem may be without any real knowledge. The claim that he is walking away from the club is farcical... he has been granted leave and I am sure the club will release more information when they deem it prudent to do so... this is NOT the MFC of past years, so to make comparisons with the Jurrah situation is just plain ridiculous.
