  1. Based on an earlier assessment of yours, does this mean that Salem is now similarly doomed? "Firstly, for the poster that asked whether Toumpas was soft, or not the answer is no. Don't you guys have Foxtel ? Also, he captained SA at the championships. You don't make a soft player your state captain - unless your name is Bryce Gibbs. OK forget that last bit. McQueen: I'm very happy to have a quality big bodied inside mid at the club, but I'd prefer Toumpas purely because he's a better player." 2. Well, the way things have gone at the MFC, that could well be the end of their careers.
  3. No, you won't know until the end of their careers.
  4. I think it is a bit wrong for people to be speculating on what his problem may be without any real knowledge. The claim that he is walking away from the club is farcical... he has been granted leave and I am sure the club will release more information when they deem it prudent to do so... this is NOT the MFC of past years, so to make comparisons with the Jurrah situation is just plain ridiculous.
  5. I've always found that reading the sun makes it very difficult to see, let alone use a keyboard, for several hours.
  6. Yes, Georgiou should come in as a Clark replacement... I wonder if this means Jetta will get a spot until Riley is back?... can't imagine King being thrown to the wolves just yet.
  7. I disagree, although Wines had a very very good game, I thought it was Westhoff who was the game breaker/winner... he played back when required to great effect and then went forward and kicked 4 goals in the second that completely swung the game in Port's favour... without his efforts, Port may well have been too far behind after the first quarter to recover.
  8. "Showing us up"?? I thought he was putting in a very good performance for his team Port... I hadn't realised that the MFC were his motivator. Silly me!
  9. And just how far away from being an MFC player do you think Wines is? We didn't take him when we should have, that is NOT Toumpas' fault. Toumpas will hopefully become a very worthwhile player for us and Wines is obviously a very good pick up for Port... move on.
  10. Why do people want to know if Mitch Clark was there specifically? If he wasn't there, I am sure there were plenty of others who also weren't there and I'm sure the club would have had it's reasons for not having them there.
  11. Off to see Jeff Beck (among many others) at the Byron Bay Bluesfest next month... can't wait!
  12. Think I read somewhere today that now Schneider won't play?
  13. Don't know, but here is a link to his website (he obviously doesn't include web design skills in his resume).
  14. I'm disappointed... tipped Freo to win by 43pts... I'm a long way off the mark!
  15. It's a great place... go to places like Sichuan ,Yunan, Guanxi provinces and you will see some of the most stunning country anywhere on the planet... check out a series available on DVD called Wild China. It's one place I am happy to keep returning to.
  16. So what better way to start this new era than with a win first up... it will happen.
  17. I have Essendon slipping so low, based purely on the fact I expect a few of their key players to be, err, unavailable for selection. I believe GCS will make their mark this year and I think GWS will show little or no improvement on last year. Richmond will regain their rightful position just outside the 8 and Collingwood will start to fade. As for the MFC, I would like to think that the Richmond and Geelong pre season games were more indicative of our form and that we will win enough this year to progress up to 12th. Hawthorn in their first two NAB games and practice match against us showed they are an unstoppable force. Hawthorn Sydney Fremantle Adelaide West Coast Geelong Carlton Gold Coast Richmond Collingwood North Melbourne Melbourne Port Adelaide Western Bulldogs Essendon Brisbane St Kilda GWS
  18. In that case, perhaps it was a game we needed to win if we were going to be any chance to secure a place in the finals... whatever it was, we lost.
  19. On Waffle360 they are saying the HUN just reported that all 34 violations relate to Essendon and none to Cronulla... queue The Doors...
  20. Richard Ings(?) just tweeted: Richard Ings ‏@ringsau 15m Make no mistake this has Judge Downes all over it. Remember he is running this show now on the ASADA end. He will act on credible questions Richard Ings ‏@ringsau 17m Exclusive report by Danny Weidler. Dank complains his disclosure notice was leaked. By whom to whom? 2/3 Richard Ings ‏@ringsau 18m CH9 report that Dank has (finally) received a disclosure notice from ASADA to answer questions relating to "34 violations". 1/3
