I have wondered what will become of the players if they are given infraction notices and forced out of the game for up to two years... will Essendon honour their contracts or will the fact that they are out on drug related charges render their contracts null and void? Should be an interesting test of Essendon's moral compass.

He was taken as a mature age rookie in 2011, and so has only been in the system for 3 years (how many seasons did it take Jones, Chip and Jamar to hit their straps?). In his first season at the Kangaroos: "...Pedersen had an excellent debut season, winning the Kangaroos’ best first-year player and kicking 18 goals in 14 games.", so there is obviously something there to work with.
