  1. I have wondered what will become of the players if they are given infraction notices and forced out of the game for up to two years... will Essendon honour their contracts or will the fact that they are out on drug related charges render their contracts null and void? Should be an interesting test of Essendon's moral compass.
  2. It looks like things are about to start happening... and it 'aint looking good for Essendon
  3. That can't be right... yesterday was not an official training session and I am lead to believe by Demonland posters in the know, that Mitch is out and about with his camera at every opportunity... why on earth would he be running laps? Or... is it possible that I have been misinformed and that Mitch really does take his football seriously?
  4. And that's just for crimes against the English language.
  5. I know it's early days yet, but if JKH can consistently put in efforts like he did in the last quarter against Richmond, there is no reason why he cannot be that player. It will be interesting to see how he goes against Geelong this Friday (if he is named).
  6. Would you have been referring to him as a "madman" if he had been posting concocted images of Gillard a year or two ago?
  7. And there is the difference between H and the rest of us... we don't want them dying... he just doesn't want them dying in our waters. In fact H would no doubt be happier to see these people shipped off to Manus Island where they can feel safe (anything, as long as they are not our responsibility): "AS BLAME is exchanged on the Manus Island detention centre bloodbath, it has been claimed that the Iranian asylum seeker killed on Monday night may have been murdered by out-of-control guards who stomped his skull as he lay defenceless on the ground." http://www.news.com.au/national/shocking-claims-after-manus-island-bloodbath/story-fncynjr2-1226833207973
  8. As I said in another thread, I would not be surprised, now that he is not taking on the role of entire midfield, Jones would have to be a very good chance.
  9. No, but this govt certainly has a code of secrecy up theirs and are hardly likely to divulge anything that might put them in a bad light.
  10. With a more defined role and support, I'm thinking/predicting, Jones could well be named AA this year.
  11. That's not how things work here... on here we rubbish players and state our desire for them to be traded or delisted, and then when they walk off their own accord, we revile them for deserting the club and/or continue to rubbish them for their performances at their new club.
  12. No, that would be the Wankley award
  13. And now we have three NSW Liberal MPs being suspended after being named in an ICAC enquiry over corruption "Former energy minister Chris Hartcher and other central coast MPs Chris Spence and Darren Webber have been suspended from the NSW Liberal Party after being named in two major corruption inquiries." http://www.smh.com.au/nsw/liberal-mps-suspended-over-corruption-probe-20140219-32z6g.html#ixzz2timL6POR Yep, as pure as the driven snow!
  14. What's to elaborate on? You claimed "majority of all the politicians that finish up serving a sentence in jail are from the Labor Party" and I am simply stating the fact that a total of 8 Labour politicians have been given jail terms and a total of 8 Lib/Nat politicians have been given jail terms... you're welcome to search the information... I found it in a matter of minutes with a basic Google search.
  15. Actually, depending on whether you count Libs and Nats as one group, you will get 8 labour politicians given jail terms versus 5 Nats and 3 Libs.
  16. Not at all... he got what he deserved... would be interested to know your thoughts on that other report. Edit: saw them and your snide remark... ok
  17. No, that will be construed as The Age typically denigrating the right, whereas RF's link provides proof that Thomson is a disgrace because even The Age tells us so.
  18. Given the base he is coming from and given the chalk vs cheese performance of last Friday compared to last season, if he gets the opportunities to play AFL and continues to improve, I would say Pedersen is big possibility to grab the crown.
  19. I think you will find that for many of these refugees, the money is gathered by their families and communities... they are NOT wealthy people in many cases.
  20. That tells me that you deliberately chose to ignore the rest of my post.
  21. And just exactly how many AFL games has he played? 26. He was taken as a mature age rookie in 2011, and so has only been in the system for 3 years (how many seasons did it take Jones, Chip and Jamar to hit their straps?). In his first season at the Kangaroos: "...Pedersen had an excellent debut season, winning the Kangaroos’ best first-year player and kicking 18 goals in 14 games.", so there is obviously something there to work with. The thing that really annoys me is the fact that posters on here (and I don't know if you have done this, so it's not aimed at you Stuie), are the "nasty" comments about his weight; totally uncalled for and completely baseless.
