Can rest easy on Tyson for the time being. Richmond would have to put something extraordinary on the table for the club to even consider it.

The fact he is our most heavily scrutinised player by the media and general public brings out the protective instincts of some people, which I can understand. The problem is that it often leads to pointing the finger at the wrong people, i.e. those who just view Watts as any other player and see the obvious flaws in his game. Then we lead to namecalling ("germs", "haters") and it's all downhill from there. I dare say we all like Watts. He's a great person whose love for the club has never been under question. But sooner or later you have to look at this rationally. He's 25 next year. He finished 18th in the Best and Fairest having played just under a full season. The club votes on that one, not the fans. If he doesn't bring consistent performance and effort next year he is going to fall outside the best 22. That's the simple equation. I hope he does. I always have hoped he does. But I also want to see Roos back up his call for 22 competitors. If Watts wants to be one of those, great.

lol....they just had an ad for Dunlop "Super Deals" where Cam Mooney compared their "super deals" to Sydney swooping in to get Franklin on a 10 year contract. I'd be looking closely at the warranty conditions on that "super deal".

You'll need to fill Vince's spot. He won't be around by the time we're within shooting distance of a GF so whether he's good enough is irrelevant. Dunn is also highly doubtful. Pretty sure Jones will play til he's 35 if he has to, and the club should let him. So you can leave him in. Stretch is good enough, and surely the only thing stopping Petracca is injury. Stretch on the wing, Trac at HFF.

Absolutely incredible game. Shat also over yesterday's snoozefest. Well done to JT. Deserves that moment.

Does look an accurate penetrating kick with a good burst of speed and lateral movement. Highlights didn't really blow me away, but ever since I watched Brayshaw's highlights last year, my standards are all out of whack. Everyone else's now seem a bit meh.

The whole thing was classic Richmond.

Also doesn't pass the absolutely hopeless footballer policy. It's a new policy.

Can Hawthorn please just **** off?

I watched it. It was pretty awkward. Fitz basically won coach killer moment of the year with his tunnelball effort. He accepted his award and tried to make light of it by saying it was up there with him getting diabetes. He then revealed he'd been delisted which came as news to Frawley. Dunstall tried to salvage something with some questions about what his best position was and where he saw his career going from here i.e. being delisted. Fitz said he had no preference for either end of the ground and that he hoped another club would pick him up. Dawes won the other joke award (cause lol Melbourne amirite?) with the worst dribble kick of the year. Dunstall asked him essentially when Melbourne were not going to be [censored] anymore. He said it would happen eventually, and that he hoped he'd be around for it. Compare this with Alex Rance winning the golden fist and getting a big kiss on the cheek from Frawley with cheers all round. It wasn't pretty viewing as a Melbourne fan.

2015 Player Review - # 37 Aaron vandenBerg (R)
P-man replied to Demonland's topic in Melbourne Demons
Would loved to have been a fly on the wall at the vandenBerg household when "A vandenBerg, 3 votes" was announced on Brownlow night. -
If their offer is 3rd round then it's madness letting him go for that. He's a highly rated Pick 4 with an injury interrupted three years in the system, who this year produced a game with 26 possessions, 8 tackles and 2 goals. It's evidence that he CAN play. There is a distinct sense of panic button here based on past failings. i trust the club is looking at this sensibly.

I have a nagging (MFCSS) feeling that this will come back to bite us quite badly. He may have deficiencies but he's also had a bad run of luck with injuries/illness and generally getting some continuity. Missing out on Wines is one thing, but if we are a few years down the track and Toumpas is dominating in another jumper while the player we got in return is languishing or delisted, projectile vomiting is in the pipeline.

Like there isn't already? Did you see Carlton's fixture this year?

Looks imminent. Fingers crossed that Goodwin can get the best out of him. -
WELCOME TO THE MELBOURNE FOOTBALL CLUB – JAKE MELKSHAM
P-man replied to Theo's topic in Melbourne Demons
I wish we could just find out one way or the other. If I have to face the reality of cheering for Jake Melksham, I want to prepare myself. That will take time. Possibly some practice. -
Doesn't seem like Saty.

Cool. Moving on.

You may have noted that China has now pledged to introduce a nationwide ETS. The excuses for the Coalition government's tokenistic approach are now running empty. We are becoming more and more isolated. Having engaged with a flat earthers on the subject before, I'm not in a rush to do it again. If you or anyone else wants to continue to question the science, feel free. Most of the world moved past you well over a decade ago.

Just added them up and with Cross having been given the tap on the shoulder, if we were to trade all of Howe, Watts and Grimes, that is 562 games experience we'd be pushing out the door in an already very inexperienced side. Cool heads needed at club HQ. All very well to move these guys on, but not if you're replacing them with four rolls of the dice. As good as our youngsters look, we know better than any club what can happen when they are given too much responsibility too soon.

He fact he used to match up on Cale Morton in the backyard says it all. His kicking still isn't THAT great. He's just so explosive and strong through the core, it seems like others simply can't tackle him. He's an outright champion. Priddis is a great story but Fyfe is more the type of player you think of when you think Brownlow medal winner.

If any club is scummy enough to turn around at the last hour and tell Woosha thanks but no thanks, it's them. I'll breathe a sigh of relief when Woosha is appointed. Until then, I'm nervous.

JPK fourth in the count but couldn't get a gig in the AA side.
