  1. 1 will do me quite nicely thanks very much.
  2. Telling when the OP does a runner from their own thread!
  3. Bleeding about Martin getting dropped and Newton ending up as the second ruckman. If he's been in form at Casey kicking goals (allegedly) pick him as a forward and play him there instead of dragging him all over the place (yes, I am aware we don't believe in having a forward line). Having said that, if we turn up and Dunn is the second ruckman Bailey can slurp my plums. #savethesme
  4. I'm going to start a thread blaming the theme song and suggesting that we picked the wrong George M Cohan track to base it on. Only aspect of the club unflogged in the last week.
  5. And yet some people are gagging for Garry Lyon to come and coach us...
  6. 15 year old kid scoops the real news outlets and posts his own article to get hits on a site that gives money to the most viewed author before posting his own link. Hold the presses.
  7. Now: The Stefan Martin experience with Jurrah and Jamar on the podium Then: Jakovich / daylight /more daylight / the Philth.
  8. MLK quote already exposed as a fake. http://www.baltimoresun.com/entertainment/bthesite/the-ridiculous-report-blog/bal-bin-ladens-death-spurs-spread-of-fake-martin-luther-king-jr-quote-on-facebook-20110502,0,3559287.story?track=rss Let us never hear it raised as an argument bargaining chip ever again
  9. Maybe a'la Obama they should release the minutes to prove they didn't talk about Dean.
  10. Would have been nice if they'd averaged those stats out across games played. Are we 17th for tackles because we've played one game less? Might even get up to 16th if we're lucky. Disgraceful stat considering the amount of time we haven't had the ball this year.
  11. Respect to increase immensely if he absolutely goes off his nut about us.
  12. I'm not having a crack at you because those two were widely known to be going exactly where they did but the comments in that article don't always stand up to what actually happened... Probably our recruiters who thought the skeletal Notte was the next big thing! 17 – GEELONG – TONY NOTTE Swan Districts, WA, Tall forward, April 15 1990, 194.5cm, 71.5kg Geelong has its eye firmly on Notte. He is highly rated among the recruiting fraternity, with one believing he has the potential to be the best player from this draft. It would be an interesting scenario if Patrick Dangerfield fell, as he had been earmarked at No.17 until he kept climbing up the order. Scott Selwood also seems unlikely to last until this pick. Don't discount Notte for Sydney (No.11) or Melbourne (No.14). West Coast is also keen but would have to claim him at No.13 – he won't last to No.20 or No.22 now. Bio: A lightly built tall forward with excellent hands. Strong both in the air and below his knees. He is quick and agile for a player of his size and capable of playing as a key back. Excellent on the lead and a good reader of the play. He is a graduate of the 2006/07 AIS-AFL Academy and was a member of the squad that toured South Africa in April. From Upper Swan FC.
  13. We'd probably have Courtney Johns and Chris Heffernan playing. He's a crackpot. Mind you if we were just going to lose for five years....
  14. Funniest voice ever
  15. Not that I care one way or the other but how come the football club members don't get a vote on this? Does this fall under the same clause of the constitution etc.. that meant the club didn't have to go to a vote on the Hawthorn merger if they didn't want to?
  16. Mine will be hearing it live in the Ponsford Stand.
  17. Dying to see if any of these proposed banners get a run of if it's just waffle. P.S - Watch out if you're taking your mum to dinner after the game, she won't like it when you sit there silently muttering about how much you hate footy.
  18. Shattered at the lack of support for Krusty.
  19. Raise a noose instead of the Grand Old Flag. That should give everyone a rev.
  20. You can have Peter Rohde, Greg Hutchison and Tony Elshaug if you're really keen.
  21. St Kilda's 1 flag and 350 wooden spoons probably just edges us.
  22. Because his role for the last three years has been to crack funnies at events and give people tours of the boundary line.
  23. Oh to be in the situation today where we could afford to sack a coach at 9-3
  24. Yep, fair point. Needs a second half avalanche so they've got no time stop it. 15 goals in the last quarter would be more helpful to our cause.
  25. I happened to read the newspaper report about that game the other day. Suffice to say Essendon were left in some sort of shock. http://wiki.fcmelbourne.com.au/Round+18+1979
