I can asure you I am not.Scully was on my profile as one of my favourite players.However I watch a lot of Under age football and feel that Scully was a very good footballer. But I definately think Viney is better. He still qualifies as an under 18 next year. He was the Australian Under 16 captain whom has just come on even further. He has mixed it very well with the Under 18's this year continuosly in the best for chargers. I feel he is definately more hard nosed than Scully and also a better kick. He may not get 40 odd disposals a game but what he does and is prepared to do for the team is almighty.

I think St Kilda could do with him...maybe a trade with say Lynch,Stanley or even Farren Ray maybe a good pick up in a trade/swap.

I tend to agree- he should control his own destiny... and we surely need the best team we can provide.

Glad we all dffer on quality of players,whilst, I understand and agree somewhat what has been stated above, Scully is a flashy player whilst Viney is a hard nose get in get it footballer.I feel he will prove to be a better footballer than Scully and definitely the type who will blend in with the new coach and blend in with Trengove and Tapscott. We have others that Viney suits with Gysberts, Evans, Blease the run off types. He'll make the likes of Scully look like [censored].

I was there yesterday and thought Jack played a sold game without starring. Kicking needs more depth at times.But guts & determination - he doesn't lack.

WJ, respect your thoughts however where do you see Chris Connolly's role if this did eventuate.I thought if we didn't get a Malthouse type re a very experienced coach then we may have gone with a Burns or a Neeld but utilized C.C'S experience and current knowledge of the list along with Viney.

Eade maybe favourite but I would not be surprised if Lyon was appointed.Maybe Harvey may join us as Defence coach.

Maybe we did know- but offering him a decent sum and making GWS up the ante gave us the two first round picks--maybe we could say we out smarted them. I genuinely believe we have come out the winner. Scully will not be deemed as the one of the best in 2011. He would not even get in the best 100.Maybe in the best 150 .. but to compare him to Ablett is a farce.Yet we get the same compensation.
