  1. Definitely a project player whom Big footy have him going to Richmond for a late pick.Got natural ability which can be developed.
  2. My smokie in this draft is this fella. Has come from nowhere this year to play in the TAC Grand final. He lacked confidence in his early years but has really come on, being consistently one of their best overall. At188 cms tall, has played in many positions even played finals in the ruck. I await other thoughts on him and others to be smokies to be considered here or in the rookie list
  3. Firstly, I would never, ever bet my life on anything. But this kid could be a freak. In listening to Shifter Sheehan on SEN this morning,I stick to my original statements on him
  4. I tend to agree,I'd like WyLto explain his thoughts.
  5. Great summary of where we are at - Draft time right now ... You are the one who brought Waylen Manson to our attention, and I hope we go and get him. If not I have got full faith in B P & team, to bring home the bacon once again.
  6. I believe if this guy is as good as we think he is-- then pick him up at 36. He definatey seems to have the goods,Look at what has happened to Franklin!
  7. Maybe it is a strategic ploy-- similar to Blake at St Kilda.
  8. Cooko-Maxwell will captain the Pies for at least amother3 seasons, asyou point out he barracked for the Dees, we have the money to buy him, and his family live in Gippsland, his brother played or plays for Casey, therefore some substance to say he will or may join us next year.Lastly, it would be a great challenge for him to captain the Dees in their next premiership.
  9. Several players will be under the microscope during the 2012 season.Neeld shows he will not muck about and with a Super draft expected next year,I expect at least 6 changes this time next year. Actually would not surprise me that Pendlebury joins us then, WE will pick up a top line experienced mid at this time.
  10. Thanks for correcting me. As you know, I was late arriving and I therefore reported what I saw. However, he did not join the main group for the time I was there. He has built his body up well since being injured and it won't be long before he does the full training programme.
  11. Grimes basically just done lap work from what I saw. However I felt the most impressive workout today was from Tom Mac, out bustled and marked over Brown on one occasion,.
  12. I also congratulate you on such a brilliant report, glad I didn't,attempt to do so.Tapscott seems to have a major red rash on one oh his lower legs, maybe a recent graft, looks very sore.
  13. At training today, it was great to see the coaching staff really getting amongst skill practice sessions, doing such work now whilst in the last few years we would be doing this type of grainy in late January.Seems a great relationship between coaches themselves and the relationship b/w players & coaches.
  14. Went to training today,Sylvia walked laps ,balance of skills speed & stamina training .I will give the chance of others to do a report,
  15. Agree with both points but who are the 6 to 10 players you think he should concentrate on? I think- Frawley, Grimes, Trengove, Jurrah,Morton, Nicholson, Sylvia, Watts, Gawn &Tapscott. Not necessarily all top players now, but the nucleus of building for a premiership team.
  16. I agree- Brown was written up as the 5th Best No. 5 draft selection over the weekend. IF Jack Watts ends up the 5th best 1st pick then I will be happy!
  17. Surely we can trust Barry and the recruiting tam after picking up Troy Davis (no.50) & Tom McDonald (53) in last year's draft. If we could do the same this year, I for one, would be rapt. Furthermore, picking up Nicholson, Evans & Lawrence as rookies just added the icing on the cake. At least if we make mistakes in the rookies area , we can easily drop them off next year for the Super draft of 2012.
  18. At least we know one thing for sure- they cannot have another crack at our club's players
  19. I await other thoughts whilst I will ask Jade on Monday next
  20. I find it very hard to believe that two new coaches would make comments like that. Furthermore, this is virtually his first full pre season.
  21. With regards to Dunn, he has never performed as a tall, therefore I can understand her thinking he plays like a mid forward type.
  22. I would not be surprised if we pick Wona up as a Rookie.
