It seems that we have a new player Tom Couch a midfielder from Collingwood going to train with us.This has been twittered by Patrick Keane frm the AFL.

With the announcement of Brett Lovett coaching Casey this brings a close to the coaching appointments.

Another gut feel I suppose--Neeld will make sure that Misson has got the issue of Doctors covered by start of actual play. He has covered all issues and will not leave out this one. With Misson and the experience of Craig, Viney,Royal and Neeld himself, they would know the medic's really well .I feel this is a small issue in the scheme of things right now.

The comments that WJ responded to Fan,in my opinion are spot on.Neeld has come in and shown what he requires to turn this club about.He has shown that he is a no- nonsense guy whom is going to get what he wants.At his initial interviews he stated their were weaknesses in the list that he wanted to address.Maybe it could be said that Tim had not been doing his job previously.Also no doubt that Neeld has been in will get involved to make sure that all new players will be to his liking from now on.Lastly,I feel,there will be a greater turnover of players at the end of 2012 , because he will weed out the players that can' t stand the heat in the kitchen.Cale & Aaron are two whom will be under the microscope.

Neeld has 21/2 months to get this list ready for season for 2012, it will be then when we can see if the improvement is enough.Neeld has shown he will go after and get what he wants re Clark whom he saw to cover one of our major weaknesses being a tall forward.He has identified other weakness and it will be very interesting to see if he goes after other experienced players to cover the list shortfalls he has identified.

Expected to be at Gosh'sPaddock around 10 on Monday next.

RR, I agree with your sentiments regarding your last comment, however,I feel ,it will take 3 years before the likely results of Neeld inc.staff can be judged,I year implemented, 1 year further development, then last year maintained.

MY brother is a bookmaker and if he was running a book on the two applicants,I think Lovett would be very long odds on.

One last role to be filled--that being coaching Casey,with two candidates ,stated today in the Herald Sun remaining,Brett Lovett & ex Carlton stalwart Peter Dean with announcement due on Friday.

Coaching Casey maybe only a part time role now we have such a number of full time coaches already.

I have some doubt that Tuck has already been offered to train with us.

HE may have been doing part of the course outlined by Neeld as part of his penalties

You raise a valid point. Nason in his initial year showed pace and accuracy.I also thought they had enough small forwards. Training doesn't guarantee a listing though!

Forgot to also mention that Beau Dowler ex Hawk is training with the Saints.

I think you are spot on however it was thought he would go to North at draft time. Tigers may end up at having two Marics come start of season time.

Just announced that Addam Maric has been offered an opportunity to train with Tigers. Interesting to note that seven clubs have applied to the AFL for permission for players to train. MFC are not one of the seven. AFL clubs give delisted players opportunity to train before draft.

I went to training today and I will leave the report to Freak. However, news above was correct. The players I deemed missing were: Jetta, Strauss, Fitzpatrick, Sylvia, Tapscott & Lawrence whilst in rehab or doing light work were: Clark, Cook, the 3 that played the Irish, Green, Frawley, Tapscott. Jurrah did a very light session running half laps. McKenzie, Petterd, Spencer - I'll leave it to others to fill in the other aspects.

Like a lot of our midfielders it is really time to show their worth.Gunners will not be tolerated by Neeld.

Redders, that is not accurate, Toovey wanted more money and did a deal before Davis said he wanted out.However, understand your point. What we need is a steady half back flanker- I think we have two- Davis, will be a very solid HBF,who can look after the talls or mids, whilst I feel Bail could become a very solid HBF.or BP,looking after the smalls.
