  1. Possibly the most strenuous session witnessed by yours truly ever. Very similar drills but more penetrating. A 2½ hour training session with the highest amount in the main ball handling drill. Several train-ons were not there; Burnett looked very impressive, a mid-well built around the 186 cm range and a very solid build - guessing - around the 83 kg mark. Couch and Williams were the only others who seemed to be out there. The rehab group consisted of Frawley - slight calf, McKenzie - don't know, Spencer- coming back from a knee. McKenzie, Frawley & Spencer were doing some handball and walked laps after swimming. It was reported that Spencer had done a 10k run earlier. Training in a separate group were Jack Viney, Jack Grimes, Josh Tynan and Kelvin Lawrence who were doing short sprint work. Jamar and Taggart were doing laps whilst all others were doing the drill set which has become customary on Mondays. The only person missing was LJ who I was told was recovering after wrist surgery & will be back for New Year. Jack Grimes did a lot of running laps, also Strauss along with the pacer who has been working with LJ. Jamar & Taggert (who has got a great build - already reminds me a little of Abblett around the shoulders & really impresses me. Barry P was there, very tired after, no doubt, spending many hours looking at tapes etc. A very hard choice/s are ahead of him for tomorrow. Quite a turn up today ,so expect contributions from many others. However,if any queries, I will try to answer.
  2. To find out training times either look up the website- melbournefc, go to season 2011 at present, in January it will be 2012 season, go then to training times where it will state where and times,Or ring the club. Regards & have a great Xmas
  3. No issue Lower deck- you have never thought for yourself- can't wait for Ultimate footy to kick your brains in,you looser.
  4. We will improve- I'm sure of that although I think we will stay about the same as last season as far as the ladder goes.It will take a good year to get the side to play together under Neeld's game plan etc. However I doubt strongly that we will get belted in 2012 like Geelong did to us in 2011.It wil also depend on how Clark performs whilst we need another big year from our ruck man.
  5. I heard he trained for Werribee last Friday and hasn't spoken to any club as yet !
  6. R.R.- I understand both sides to this issue- however I understand why Robbie F has supported Barry. Surely, Barry can have his point of say, however, I also understand your point re Franklin. It just didn't make sense. Please let us get on with it. WJ has pointed out things very aggressively also,so please leave it alone now, don't you think? Ultimate footy comes back soon.
  7. The birth of Christ. -- Happy New Year- Birth of the new Dees. GOT It !
  8. MFC website also says it is on this morning, same details as WJ stated.
  9. She may become your Sadie Lady-- Best wishes for your future- WJ.
  10. Yep ,especially the nofication by WJ, that Viagra wil be placed on their shorts- great value I'd say.
  11. It is my opinion thevplayers will train on the 16th @Gosh's Paddock @ 9.45am.Furthermore, they may train same venue, same time the following Monday, BUT I would go on the16th,keep checking the MFC website under training times. Maloney, McKenzie, Nicholson all come from Cliff's country or close by.
  12. The above posts just bring tears to my eyes.Just shows the spirit of what we think of Jimma. The only time in the future we want Jimma to re arrange the BBQ is when we WIN THE FLAG. Then we will all celebrate.Just hope all our players live by the inspiration you have showed us all. God Bless you, GO DEES GO JIMMA.
  13. Please confirm if Kaspersky will be staying on as sponsor? You never know WJ what this Chinese person is on about - he may even want to add to your notification of Viagra being our shorts sponsor. The person may want to seek sponsorship for the back of the shorts? One will never know - or be surprised.
  14. Sorry -forgot to thank FREAK also for his SUPERB contribution as well, furthermore HT - hard to do a report when unable to be there. But I will be back Sunday so hopefully wil attend Monday's session
  15. Agree with your sentiments and also say the same about M-boy's report along with Joeboy's great input.Very interesting that Dunn impressed all. Fantastic to hear.
  16. I think the AFL may get involved in this proposition and may include this ground- Western Park, the 3rd ground to cover all needs.Smaller revenue earning games could be played there. If they did, they would build a roof over it.If not, netball will be played there, and therefore a roof would be a requirement, I believe. We may be able to get another major sponsor to have naming rights of the ground. Some of these thoughts will be interesting to see if they are included in the final proposal by C.S.
  17. I second those sentiments although I know you have been on leave.Hope you had a great break.
  18. I didn't understand your post fully - you said if we pick up an outstanding tall - IYO - you would take him. What type of tall - ruckman? forward? Back? Please advise.
  19. Small forward we definitely lack and running outside mids. But definitely do not need any other budding ruck man - that would be an overkill and a waste IMO.
  20. Yes - privately owned, by the Pratt family. Started up by Richard Pratt's late father.
  21. Fair comment and we seem to have the right mix with regards what we think we need to supplement the list. However do you agree with the types we have asked to train.
  22. Apology not required at all- I am sure we all would say thank you and Go LJ.
