  1. The safest possible bet this year, thanks. Wines.
  2. He obviously meant '09. I remember it well. He actually laid a few good tackles on Goodesy that day.
  3. Good to see some faith put in Strauss. I would very much like to see him cement himself in the 22.
  4. I nearly did a 'Grimey' that day.
  5. Who's our new whipping boy now?
  6. OK, so my comment from earlier was deemed inappropriate. I'll be more constructive this time. I don't have much hope for Cale to turn it around. Confidence is obviously the issue and once that's gone on the field, it's hard to get back. I loved his first two seasons. His games against Collingwood and Footscray in '09 were brilliant, racking up + 35 disposals in both games. He's a capable player but if he wants to go somewhere else I'm not really fussed anymore. I'll just cry a bit over how we could've had Danger instead.
  7. Squeezed out by younger, better options. All the best Jared.
  8. They're going to take it very slowly with Mitch, wouldn't surprise me if they sat him out the first few rounds. I'm absolutely over the moon about Dawes too. Requires a good defender and he should thrive back in his rightful position.
  9. I'm sure Neeld and Viney aren't that stupid. That would be a monumental waste of a high pick.
  10. Even those things look stronger than Cale. I like this move. Didn't really strike me as a player who'd 'bought' in.
  11. I like Matty Thomas. Had a ripper 2011 and is a tackling machine.
  12. The use of the word 'clutch' by the muppets at the Hun. Really grinds my gears.
  13. Going from a lovely 1:10/2:10 start time to a ludicrous time of 3:15 on a Saturday or Sunday afternoon has meant I can no longer attend games in that particular time slot. The lack of regional trains leaving Spencer street after 6pm has also prevented me from attending games I would normally go to. Obviously I haven't been missing out on much lately, but when we do start winning, I won't want to be stuck at home watching it on the box. I'm sure there are many others that are in the same situation.
  14. Oh I get it. I don't particularly rate the Q stick, but I'd welcome just about anyone his age from successful clubs like West Coast, Geelong, etc.
  15. I tend to agree with this. Although I think his footy brain is fair to good but his decision making and brain fades really let him down sometimes.
  16. I liked Brett Kirk as a player but [censored] me, he talks some garbage at times. He always looks extremely awkward and nervous. C7's commentary team as a whole are just embarrassing. Still like Bruce and Denn on Sundays though.
  17. I used to be in the unconditional camp...Up until that day in July last year. I could not take a pain like that again.
