  1. well, i like the passion from demonland posters... but i hate their choice in music
  2. Relax Kate Upton, you're very sexy but i was just commenting on hoping a player is good by instinct nothing more, also to through in an anchorman quote.
  3. well, i guess there aren't any. Second hand information which is as good as a police report to some on here, and as fickle as a twilight book to others, i guess i'm somewhere in the middle
  4. When Facts fail, there's nothing like instinct to back up your argument. I hope your instinct is right, or i could be in a glass case of emotion in 2013
  5. hang on jaded, don't you know that it's vital for us members to know weather jack watts is 195cm, not 193cm? pffft, and you call yourself a supporter
  6. i can't believe some of the posters on here, the guys family life is falling apart, and you're wanting compensation because he's leaving for nothing. Poor little MFC supporters. Have some perspective people. Life>football
  7. the best football nickname of all time is Captain Blood, hands down
  8. errr... hasn't even stepped inside the training facility yet. But i do like your optimism.
  9. EH!? edit. Sorry just read that you called someone a git for a similar response so i will explain myself. You can be a big believer in second chances and feel bad for players with injuries, but the way to make a strong leadership group is to make the players work hard to get in... like after we've seen some work done in preseason, not before hand. having said that the players pick the leadership group under the guide of the coaching staff so it is essentially an irrelevant discussion. for the record i disagree with both of your suggestions, we have just spent the trade period and free agency trying to get rid of giving people something on potential, and now you want to just throw that away? it would be a step backwards as far as i'm concerned
  10. I mean this with all due respect. The drills on the net business, and the easy going running stuff that people seem to be concerned with is interesting. I find it interesting because people want them to be doing 100% hard as you can running from this early on in the pre season. Remember they have to go to Darwin and do hard training up there in a week or soonish, and it's what... week 2 of preseason? they are still in the analysis and specific individual training part of it all. Whenever you're concerned just think, this is their job, Misson has trained the australian cricket team and st.kilda to relative success and try and look at the whole picture.
  11. Don't you get exhausted always having a glass half empty opinion all the time? I'm all for being realistic, but there's little that can happen between now and season beginning that will change anyones opinion. The most realistic thing to do would be to just think of this as a new team, because it essentially is, and it should be exciting to see how things pan out good or bad. Also, just because you have an opinion on someones comment, doesn't mean you have to give it and turn a reasonable 5 page thread into a 25 page thread with replies
  12. can i just say, i never really understood the outrage at tanking, within all clubs not just Melbourne. I mean if a club is 4th and then they finish last i guess i get it, but if they're 15th and finish 16th, is it that big of a deal? the only thing people are really protecting within the "integrity" of the game is the betting companies and the gambling side of things. Simple solution, lottery draft, and this stuff would never happen
  13. Well Barrett was certainly trying to tear us a new one on the way out of trade radio. He just frustrates me so much, overstating the past, understating what has been done to fit his constant media narrative. It's typical "scattergun" journalism that he loves to produce week in week out, all headlines, all shocks, no substance. When it comes down to the nuts and bolts of his argument or someone says, what would you do in the same situation, he has this mentality of basically saying "hang on, i'm not done criticising yet". Always looking for that big story, never actually finding it and making a mountain out of a mole hill.
  14. it's a clear message to the playing group, just because you're pick 4 doesn't mean you get a game, put in or get out. I for one am glad somebody is finally putting the likes of Morton, gysberts and cook on notice that if you didn't go in and get the ball, you don't get a game. And in this case, you don't even get a chance at a jersey. this is the problem with the MFC and the so called "culture" supporters that think that it's ok to let languishing players who haven't put mass or play a good game for years get a gig just because they show potential. High integrity is pretty much Neelds message now. Thank god somebody is saying you play well, play to our standards and you get in the side. I for one am glad to see the back of the 15 yr old school boy bodies that are leaving the club.
  15. i'm surprised that people are against this... have any of you seen the MFC play? i think he fit's in fairly well, considering he can get the freaking ball. Always been underrated in the AFL
  16. Nothing like knowing nothing about something, and refusing to learn something about it.... is that how you say it?
  17. When asked on trade radio today who we should use pick 4 on, i think the quote was "wines, wines, wines wines" I don't have any particular affinity to Terry Wallace and i thought he was a bit of a dud coach, if not unlucky. But I do think that wines is something we desperately need. And for all those people saying we have too many tacklers?.... im sorry, have you watched the dees in the last couple of years?
  18. you can surely have mongrel in you without being a bogan mate, it's hardly hollier than thou
