  1. Home ground advantage will play a big part in that semi final as well, not many teams win at skilled
  2. I'm probably gonna put it in the Bayside Leader. headline as follows "Hwy Streaking benefits disgruntled housewives."
  3. I think it will be the equivalent of Gardenvale to Elsternwick along the hwy
  4. Having an argument with a friend of mine the other day about Richmond. Because this guy is always in my ear about how great they are going to be and how their list is the making of a team of the century, i have grown to hate Richmond. I always want them to lose so he will shut up. I have made a bet with him already, and it is still a year being off complete, but the bet is that Melbourne will finish higher than Richmond on the ladder next year. Was this a stupid bet? Personally i think it's a lock for me to win. If he wins i have to nude run a Km on Nepean highway, and visa versa
  5. It has got to be about becoming a credible team. Next year should be about becoming a team that isn't a lock win for the opposition. Which will come eventually, because they are building a pretty strong side if pick numbers are anything to go by. They will play with a lot more gusto next year.
  6. cats sticking with my before season bet that they would win this year
  7. Ok just to reiterate, i dont think he is the best candidate for Captain I am aware that he will be captain next year. I know he does stuff behind the scenes and is good with the team spirit thing. But for me, he makes to many mistakes for me to think he is a good captain. Although i do like his tackling efficiency and his toughness.
  8. Jones is a pretty good and tough player, in fact i am pretty happy with all of the midfielders generally, and i can't imagine changing much moving into the future, as they are all beginning to play with more consistency, with the almost certain addition of Tom Scully, if they keep the midfield together as much as they can, they will become pretty threatening.
  9. 6. Sylvia 5. Jurrah 4. Molony 3. Frawley 2. Jamar 1. Dunn
  10. Interesting thing is that i've noticed is things like taking Sylvia out of the middle when he is gets 12 possessions in the first quarter, or taking the wilpiri wizard off after he kicked his fourth (this may have just been interchanging rotation). after the port game that we won, we have played pretty well in most games, for a certain part of it, weather it be a half or a quarter, which i am ok with because we all know why the dees are doing this. I mean we went toe to toe with St.kilda, and carlton for a half, and they're both in the top 8. But Id sacrifice Frawley to go up forward and off of the oppositions best forward to get Scully. We could've definitely won more than 4 if we didn't keep "experimenting". But i'm not complaining
  11. yep, i am aware that McDonald will Captain out next year, but i dont think that melbourne lacks leaders at all. I think that Sylvia has had a new lease on life this year, and he is my bid, apart from Davey to get the best and fairest. And it has probably come from having a bigger responsibility at the club. so i wouldn't be opposed to having Col as captain. Also if Davey was to be captain would he be the first Indigenous Captain?? not necessarily in the league, but at Melbourne for sure
  12. Chaps, Figured i'd start my first message board with a topic that has been bugging me for a while now. And it is the topic of the melbourne captaincy. Now personally i don't particularly like James McDonald, and i think given the choice, if i was coach, i would've let McDonald go and have roberston stay, because i think he has more to give. But that is a different issue. So McDonald has to retire sometime, the question is, who should take over?
